My husband and I will be leaving for Aruba on March 16th. Can anyone tell me a little about the Kukukunoo bus tour?

Everything I have heard has been second hand, but I have yet to hear anything bad about it.

Everyone I have talked to about Aruba has said that the KukuKunoo Bus is one of the "must-do's". It was a "blast, highlight of my vacation, most fun ever ..." and so on.

I'm not a huge fan of doing the tourist things when I go away but I somehow think I am going to get suckered into doing it.

We leave in 2 days and come back the 12th. I'll be sure to give you a report once I get back.

kukkoo kanukoo

my husband and i were in our mid/late 40's when we went on this adventure
we were NOT the oldest on the bus
(we were however the most sober)

the ride was fun
the champagne toast at sunset at the lighthouse was breathtaking
the dinner at the home of the dignitary was lousy, but the wine was good and plentiful
the bar hopping was fun to a point....we had a good time watching the folks get drunker and drunker
i did however win the beer drinking contest at carlos and charlies (drinking beer thru a baby bottle and nipple)

i suppose it is one of those adventures that one should do at least once
disclosure: paul and i are sort of old farts. ;)

We had a blast on the Kukuu last year and we're going again this year. There is a large group of us ranging in age from 30 to 65 and everyone had a great time.

We enjoyed the bus. I agree with Andrea the champagne & sunset at lighthouse was beautiful. Dinner was not good. We are in our early 50's and we were by no means the oldest on the bus. We were the least intoxicated. We enjoyed watching everyone else. I wish the bus went to popular bars instead of local bars off the beaten path. When we arrived at each of the 3 bars on our trip, there were no people in the places. Just the bartender & barmaids staring at all of us. I feel its a one time thing you just have to do. I don't think we will ever do it again.
Have Fun!

I've done it a couple of times, It's a great thing to do in Aruba. You'll have a blast and probably get drunk. Check out their site if you want to.

Whatever you do, Enjoy Aruba!

We just did the Ku Koo Kunuku (a group of 20) bus trip in February and HAD A BLAST! This was the second time for my husband and I, but this time was MUCH better because we had such a big group(the last time it was just the two of us)...it was one of the best nights of our vacation! :D

Just returned from Aruba and this trip was the best night my wife and I had (43 & 41). Meet great people and partied like rock stars! Many on the bus meet the next night at Senior Frogs to continue the fun.

Would anyone know if it is possible to reserve 20-25 spots on the Kukookunuku bus? We want to ensure all of our party is on the same bus visiting the same bars at the same time.

Here are two emails for them:

We were on the Kukoo Kunuku party bus in 2 weeks ago. We had so much fun. It is best if a lot of people are on the bus with you, it makes it much more fun. One of my guests saw the bus ride past, and they said their were like 4 people on the bus, and it looked very corny. You can cancel 24 hours prior, so I would check to make sure that the bus is full.

the reason i go to aruba every year is this bus

Does anyone know how long in advance you have to make reservations for this party bus and if they are refundable? We were thinking that would be a fun optional activity for one of the nights during our wedding in June, but wanted to check and see if anyone else has done this and if so what the booking policies are. Any thoughts?

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! You should have such a blast getting married in Aruba. I don't know the answers to your questions, but this is the bus's web-site: www.kukookunuku.com/ (http://www.kukookunuku.com/) If you send them an e-mail, they get back to you quickly. At least that's been my experience.

My husband and I went on the Kukoo Kunuku party bus one night of our honeymoon in Aruba & we had a great time. We're returning to Aruba at the end of April, and we're planning to book the bus again -- this time with two other couples.

FYI -- A person recently posted that you go to "dive bars". It is true that you visit a few local bars, but that is part of the fun. You'd probably never go there otherwise. Also, the first stop when we went was out by the lighthouse for a champagne toast, which was really great. The view there is wonderful, and I don't think we'd be out that way for any other reason since the restaurant there has received such poor reviews.

Thanks so much! During our first visit to Aruba in June of 07 we went on the party bus and totally loved it! I agree, the champagne toast at the lighthouse was gorgeous. I also thought the dinner was good and the bars were entertaining. That's why we thought it would be fun to do this again with a big group when everyone is down for the wedding. I will definitely check out their web site and email them -- thanks again!

We have the same idea! We have been on it 2 years in a row now and loved it! We are getting married in May so we made it one of our wedding events. We emailed them & let them know about how many people and they were very responsive. They suggested we have our guests go on-line to sign up and mention our wedding party, so we all get on the same bus. Definitely shoot them an email and give them a heads-up! Hope that helps!

That does help a lot. When our date gets a little bit closer and we know exactly who would be interested I will send the party bus an email like you recommended. Thanks so much and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! :p

some unsolicited advice re: this activity (from my own experience yrs ago)
do not schedule this activity on the evening prior to your departure home.
:o i did not get loaded on my adventure, but the next day had a huge headache and felt incredibly rotten at the airport.......and on the plane.

it was the "white russian flu".

GOOD thinking about NOT doing this the night before we are to leave!!

Thank you so much for the email address to ask questions!
