We will be in Aruba for five days in June. What are some "must see or do" things. Will be staying at the Manchebo resort, has anyone stayed there? Where's the best snorkeling? Thanks for any suggestions.

ATV tour is a must. they take you to all of the most popular spots....Natural Pool, Natural Bridge, Baby Beach....if you can handle a quad its great,,,,otherwise DePalm tours have jeep/safari tours that take you almost everywhere. The also have snorkeling tours that take you to some pretty cool places...
I have never stayed at Manechbo, but there is a casino right beside it. It has a nice beach, beside the casino is a nice bagel place for bagels in am, as well as Dunkin Donuts.
There are nice souvenoir shops beside casino as well.
We ate at the steak restaurant there a few years ago and it was good, so hopefully it is still as good.
You can also take a bus down town for a few dollars US its cheap and realible.
You will get many other suggestions on this forum, so pick your favs and have a wonderful time...!!

Welcome...read the site for a few days and then ask your questions.
Think about water sports, boat rides, restaurants, tours, renting a car...and read the site, and then ask your questions. There's a lot to do, then there's nothing to do, you decide. You most certainly don't want to miss the beach and pool. If I were going for 5 days I would sit my little self in a lounger at the beach and stay there the entire time:)...you will love the island no matter what!!!

If you want the best snorkeing experience book a reservation on the Tranquilo. Its the red sailing yacht thats docked outside the Riu. Anthony, the Captain, only takes out 16 people at a time and he takes you to a private reef that you have all to yourself (no other boats) and the snorkeling here is amazing! $70.00 includes an open bar, lunch, and all our snorkeling equipment. Anthony is a dutch local who is one of the friendliest people we met on the island. He'll make you feel right at home aboard his yacht. He also does sunset cruises, dinner cruises, moonlight cruises, and private charters. We would reccomend the Tranquilo over any of the other boats which usually take out around 60 people for the same price.

anthony on his tranquilo runs a top notch snorkel/lunch tour
most folks rave about it. it is low key, quiet and peaceful....uncrowded

there are other snorkel tours but none are like the tranquillo for the "tranquility and calm" the other snorkel tours are more lively and crowded ..............but still fun nonetheless. imo tranquilo is more "my cup of tea"

Thanks to all for your suggestions. I posted an email to Anthony to make a reservation. We can't wait for our trip. June can't get here soon enough.

We also have sailed with Caption Anthony, one of the best ever. We'll also be there in June (6-13) at the Tam. So many sites to see & things to do enjoy!

I am so jealous!! I love Manchebo.. Its not the most extravagant resort on the island but they have the most awesome beach!!
No palapa fights
Beautiful sand
Plenty of room to have your own "space"
Palapa drink and food service (I miss that little flag!)
Yummy burgers at the Beach bar
French Steak house...
I could go on and on,,,,

Enjoy!!! :D
