My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon in Aruba. Neither of us have been to Aruba before, so we have no idea what hotels/areas are nice. We would like to stay at an all inclusive resort. Any suggestions?

I am in the same situation as you, going for my first time for my Honeymoon. I've done a lot of research on this and many other sites and Bucuti keeps coming up as the choice unless your looking for all inclusive.

But if you are going in October you can't book yet because I have not and I don't want it to fill up :)

bucuti is adults only perfect for honeymooners
another place that caters to adults is aruba renaissance marina tower

comparing renaissance and bucuti is like comparing apples and oranges

both of these places are great

renaissance has the private island with the shuttle boat and the PERKS of the downtown hussle and bussle

i do LOVE bucuti
but i do LOVE the renaissance marina tower
(the renaissance ocean suites are the timeshare units with kitchenette facilities)

good luck

Yes, Bucutti is great for honeymooners and is on a great beach. If you're looking for all inclusive I'd suggested Occidental over RIU. Occidental has more of a warm, Aruban feeling. The RIU is so large and most of the employees are fromo the Dominican Republic, so you don't get the warmth of the people. It is also not nearly as crowded.

If you decide on the Occidental I have many timeshares there and can get you accomadations for much less than you'd pay from a website or agent.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

If it is all inclusive you want Riu we went to Riu this winter and really enjoyed it. We did spend our evenings at the Westin next door as their Casino is very freindly and the serice was great. The food at the Riu was pretty good for an all inclusive, whatever you choose you will have a great time in Aruba

I would nominate as everybody Bucuti, the best of what Aruba is known for and great hotel for Honeymooners, privately owned by great people.
If you want an more know name hotel the Westin and the Hyatt are also good for honeymooners, and you can do meal plans with drinks and keep some space open to try all the beautiful restaurants on the island.
As per all inclusive the RIU is my recommendation is new property.

We love the Renaissance Marina Towers as it is adult only facility. The restaurants included in the AI are very good - LG Smith's is fantastic and the Blue Bar in the open air lobby by the pool is a fun location. You can do the AI for part of your stay and also be able to try out some local eats. The Private Island is for guests only so it's not crowded. Also, there is an adult only side where topless bathing is allowed. Check out their website and compare their facility to others. Congratulations!
