Someone posted something last year about rolling your clothes while packing and I can't find it. If you don't mind, Lisa or Andrea, would you post it again. I did this last year and it works--very little wrinkles. If you can't find it, it's ok, I think I can wing it. But I only have a month to pack. LOL :D
Thanks a bunch!!

Dh and I held a "pack off" when he did not believe me that you could fit more rolled than he could folded. I won. I think it is pretty much a proven fact that not only does it save space, but also cuts down on wrinkles.
Just remember if you are filling your suitcase to the brim, you still have weight restrictions.
If you think weight will be an issue, invest in a hand held digital scale.
So far so good for us. In 4 trips we have found it to be EXTREMELY accurate.
In the link above that Andrea posted, from my years working in retail I have varied the instructions just a bit for folding.
For T-shirts, place face down, fold arms back plus an additional 2"-3" (depending upon the size of the shirt), take the rectangle and roll starting at the collar.
As opposed to the square fold, I roll button down shirts as well. Button all buttons, place shirt front down, and cross fold arm and arm like you would fold a sweater. Then carefully flip back over and smooth out the entire shirt. Start at the collar and begin rolling.
i take a carry on for two weeks travel and that is bring plenty of shoes and even my pillow. the key to fitting the most in your bag is using the travel roll up bags. they are amazing. and if you fold them properly and slide them in, when you take them out and hang them up, any small wrinkles fall out. the best is coming home if you have any dirty laundry that you didn't get a chance to do or towels. put them in the travel bag, when you get home, open it and dump it in the laundry. my neighbor turned me on to them a few years ago and now i would never travel without them. i never check luggage because i have so much room in my bag with these space travel bags. you don't need a vacuum because you roll these. best traveling invention yet.....

AGAIN thanks sooo much. These travel roll up bags, where do you find them? Are they the ones that you suck the air out of them? If that is the case, how do you get the air out of them when you leave Aruba? i did roll my clothes last year and I couldn't get over how good they looked when we unpacked. I just thought I would try it, and iron them all when I got there to get it over with BUT I swear it worked so well, a lot better than folding. I always have to iron after arriving, but not last year.
I LOVE this forum--I know I have said that so many times, but it's true. Ask a question, and you guys are so fast to answer. You have no idea how much I appreciate you.

IRON on VACATION    THIS is the better way! :D
you can get them at bed bath and beyond, use a coupon and you get like 8 bags for $15. they are reusable and last pretty long. no, the travel ones, you put them in, zip it and then roll it. don't get the regular ones, get the ones that say space travel bags. you don't need a vacuum. once you roll all the air out, just unroll them and straighten them out. they are the best. you will be amazed how much you can put in a carry on. i pack for 2 weeks and use a carry on and bring a tote bag as my purse. and like i said, i bring my own pillow, too......

see how they work!!
and even if your bed bath and beyond coupons have expired, for some reason BBB still will accept the coups!
you're right, Andrea. they don't care how old they are. did you know you can use bed bath coupons at Harmon's Outlets, if you have them by you? I didn't know that but I do now....they are the same company.
