One of our biggest adventure in Aruba was definitely the shipwreck snorkeling! We never snorkeled at shipwrecks before, this was our first time, but it seems we enjoyed it a lot since we visited 3 wrecks while we were in the island :) First the majestic Antilla, then Baboo, the 3rd one, the Kappel Wreck was a big surprise since we didn't know about it and just disappeared in front of our eyes while snorkeling in Mangel Halto !

Find my Aruba shipwreck snorkeling (https://www.facebook.com/pg/snorkelaroundtheworld/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1594607167264461) photos here, hope you will enjoy them :)

your photos are awesome.

we have snorkeled at mangel halto a number of times and only 2x have we seen that wreck.
what happens to it? does it get buried in sand and then reappear when the current changes?

I think my kids would love checking out Kappel! Looks like a skull!

Sorry for the late reply, I've just seen your question now

I think it must be because of the bad visibility. Sometimes the visibility is really low and it is hard to spot the wreck. We snorkeled there 2 times, first time the water was so clear so it was easy to spot the wreck, on the other day the water was murky, and we were just swimming around: where is the wreck? But sure it did not get buried in sand :)
