apparently the mandatory insurance fees have been reduced by 30%

I was told that they would possibly make an adjustment on the insurance rates on the first of Sept.
I am glad that they did!!

My new rate for 14 days is $12.50 a day x 14 days = $175 for me and $175 for Paul.

Looks like the reduction kicks in after 7 days, correct? I played with the calculator - still showing 15 per day up to 7 days?
not complaining. this is super helpful for those with longer stays and I’m glad to see it.

:mad:I am disappointed that the 30% is not for all days 1 to whatever.

Ugh. I heard the price was being reduced. I'm happy that will help others travel to Aruba, but annoyed that I already paid all that money for nothing! I guess that is what insurance is all about!

I was playing around and I get $119 for 14 days. We are the same age?? In any event it's nice the price has gone down.

The coverage page where you enter age and number of days = $119
The rates listed on the cost page add up to $175, but the calculator still equals $119

Which is correct?

I wonder if they will refund people who already paid and are there. My son and his gf arrived there Saturday and are staying until Nov. 24. I know it will save us a couple hundred $$ since we changed our plans and will be there from Dec. 14 to March 4(or later if the cruise is cancelled).

Yahoo! This is great news for me because my husband and I fly to Aruba on Sept 10th (staying for 10 days).
I'll redirect those savings towards frozen pina coladas!

Okay, somebody put in age 65 and 14 days in the calculator and let me know what you come up with for an answer. I'm still getting $119

I played around with it. Ages up to 15-$10, ages 15-75 is $119, 76 and up is $175.

At day 49 or 50 it goes to $224 for ages 15-75 and stay at that price up to day 90. From 90 to 180 they seem to add $1.40 per day.

You pay whatever they tell you and hope you never need it. I think thats the definition of "insurance".

I just tried it and for me it came out to $10 a day instead of $15. Nice. Maybe they will lower the price on COVID test or have this insurance cover it.

your son and his gf need to contact the insurance people on the island.
their credit card will be adjusted appropriately.

they need to speak with a supervisor.
they are there for an extended stay and all folks should have their insurances adjusted accordingly.

Thanks! It goes a long way toward the $500 they spent at Price Smart.
