Activities you are looking forward to when we can return

This weekend we spent some time talking about our planned vacation in Nov/Dec. I feel like we are going to value this next visit just a little more than normal because of this crazy year. We will be sure to have plenty of relaxing beach days, so I'm not really talking about those here.

This is a milestone anniversary trip for us (our 10th) so we talked about how we wanted to celebrate. To my surprise, my husband's answer was spending a day in upgraded beach cabana at DePalm Island. We did this last year and I hadn't considered it as an option again so soon, but apparently he enjoyed it more than I realized. My answer was to sail on the Monforte III and do their Luxury Lagoon Cruise. I enjoyed it last time, nice mix and relaxation and fun. We may forgo a car rental this trip and do both of these, we have lots of time to think it over.


What activities are you most looking forward to doing on your next trip to Aruba?

What I’m looking forward to more than anything is enjoying the warmth of the sun and floating around in the ocean. I’ve also been eying the Monforte cruise. Of course, there will be casinos in the mix and I imagine wearing a mask while playing.

I am hoping to talk Jon into a day at Surfside Beach. Will you go there even when staying at Lacabana?

Though I've only done it once and on my first trip...I'd really like to do SUP yoga again. It was really cool, relaxing, and fun. They do it in front of the Ritz where the water is absolutely amazing and calm.

I just wanna get into my 'same old rut'..... That's hanging on the beach during the day with lunch at Pega Pega, a nice dinner out with my wife and then the casino at night... that's all!

yes!!
I much prefer going there (Surfside reflexions) than going at dawn to Eagle Beach at LaCabana to get a front or 2nd row palapa.
Walking in the deep sand is pretty tough for paul's back.
It is much easier at Surfside.

We still make camp at LaCabana pool and run across the street to hop in the ocean.

Wow Bri, that looks so peaceful. Of course my lack of balance it would be more like an injured seal and no one would be relaxing! Jon enjoyed stand up paddle boarding and would probably love yoga if he ever tried it.

I just want to be there-sit by the pool or on the beach and read and talk with friends-old and new. Play/float in the water or jump with the waves. Watch the sunset from our balcony or on the beach. Watch the cruise ships come in or water sports from the balcony. Soak up the sun. Forget about anything else. Damn, I miss being there.

It’s a little tricky and takes more core strength than you would expect. The boards are pretty wide so it’s not too bad...the good news when you fall over, it’s into the gorgeous, refreshing water. It’s really fun.
