there were rumors swirling that this event would not take place in 2019.

glad it is on the schedule!
it is fun to watch and the players are amazing.

we were there for it last year, it is a huge huge event in aruba, so many people. very cool.

There was talk about moving closer to the port-where they tore down the hotel. Are they keeping it on Eagle Beach?

Oceania is right across from it. We have extra security on the property during the Beach Tennis Event and most of the units are rented. One of our guards said it is very busy, but the participants are never a problem. They are very serious about the game and are not partiers. The extra security is because of so many people in the area and to keep those who are not staying on the property off of the property. There is also a lot of people going in and out of the gates-much more than any other time.

They(not Oceania) remove all the palapas from the beach and then put them back again.

There was talk of moving the tournament to Bushiri Beach, but they would have to bring in tons and tons of sand to do it. Leaving it on Eagle Beach probably works a lot better. There are a ton of rooms(hotels and condos) so people can walk there rather than drive. If they moved it to Bushiri, most people would need to be transported there. I know they use the lot across from Oceania for parking. It is also convenient for the organizers since they are headquartered next to Tropicana aka Aruba Beach Resort and behind Paradise Beach Villas.

I'm sure all the hotels in the area are booked solid. Not all the owners at Oceania rent their units, but I am told, most, if not all the rentals are booked since it is directly across the street.

reminder, that many of the hotels and timeshares, apartments, condos in the Eagle Beach and Palm Beach areas are booked solid for these dates.

Actually, they were talking about moving it to Bushiri Beach.
‘If you look at the blurb on that page it’s says Eagle Beach in the text but if you look to the middle right side it says “Bushiri Beach”
