    Bohemian - October 2021

We have two friends in from Toronto, The BnB Boys, and we've been hitting the town as it's their first time in Aruba. They're already looking at homes for sale... nobody can resist the island's call. Like "LOST" without the polar bear or plane crash.

    Anyhoo...

We hit "Bohemian" with a vengeance last night. Delta be damned!

The joint was rocking. The food and service were excellent. Interesting staffing situation: some were wearing masks and others weren't. Easy to identify the vaccinated vs the insane...?

On with the food porn...one of The Boys has a new iPhone and the camera is incredible... you can practically eat the pictures. Sadly, we're restricted on resolution here at the Forum Asylum so you'll just have to salivate in low res:

    The scene of the crime:

Mains (sorry, no cocktail or app shots... we were hammered):

Two people had paella and loved it.

I had the bouillabaisse because I just wanted to type it out in the review to be Snotty French for a minute.

And the grande finale desserts - thin apple tart and profiteroles. Apple was delicious; profiteroles were okay.

And that's all she wrote. Still a great place for fun dining.

I didn't even mention the live singer! Exactly. Oy.

Wow food looks amazing. Glad to hear it was great. I read mixed reviews on the food so we didn’t go last month but maybe we should have! Thanks for sharing!

I think food can be hit and miss anywhere on the island given that it's not always the same chef/cook on any given day unless the chef is the star of the show (Carte Blanche, Fred, Senses etc.). BH is a great atmosphere (loud singers aside) and the food has been pretty consistent in our experience - I'd say it's 7.5 out of 10.

One of the worst meals we ever had in Aruba (early on) was at Ruth's Chris. We were shocked at how bad it was given their reputation and our experience with locations in the US and Canada. We certainly raised our hands about it to a pretty indifferent house manager. We voted with our feet and never darkened their doorstep again.

    Love the food porn!

Is this the first time you’ve had friends visit on the island? I would think it would be fun showing them around and just hanging out!

    Loved the review!!
    Thanks!!!

Our experience at RC was similar to yours and the manager did not give a rat's buttocks.
We had been fans and loyal patrons of RC, never again!

We've had people down before with mixed results. Wait. Did I say that out loud?

    These two are a hoot!
