    Grandparent's Night Out

So which restaurant would you all recommend for Grandparents night out without the family?
We all like seafood and aren’t big eaters or drinkers? Some place with nice atmosphere and good food and service? Thoughts?

    moved from your trip report.

    I would recommend......

    Madam Janette
    Bavaria
    Ikes
    Casa Nonna
    BLT
    Chalet Suisse
    Barefoot

Note: some of these places you might need a reservation.

Don't know if you like Indian, but we always enjoy a romantic meal at Tandoor at least once per trip. Nice quiet relaxing atmosphere and a wonderful selection of Indian meals. They will prepare the food at whatever heat level you prefer from mild to spicy. The service is top notch and the restaurant is very clean. I love the mix grill and Pam always orders the vegetable korma. The garlic naan is great. http://tandooraruba.com

I would lean towards Madame Janette; Chophouse at Manchebo or Casa Nonna at the Ritz.

Casa Nonna was really a favorite for us last trip. Nice outdoor patio, live music very relaxing atmosphere. We went a couple of times. One night we just went for appetizers and dessert and it was perfect.

‘Chophouse is white linen table cloths, proper service and nicely done steaks. Each time we’ve been there they have had a piano player. While they don’t have a view, the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant.

Madame Janette is an old favorite and while we didn’t make it there on this past trip it’s on our list for November. Outside dining in the yard or on the porch. Twinkling lights, and romantic vibe. Varied menu, large portions though.

Thanks all for the great suggestions. We’ve been to several of these and they are all very good. I wanted to try somewhere we haven’t been and there are a few great new places for us here. I will let you know where we decide.
    thanks.

We made a reservation for the Chophouse at Manchebo for tonight. The place looks awesome and we've heard many good things about it. I will let you know how we liked it. Thanks again.

Harold Rasmijn is a great waiter..... and here's some info on his excellence from this site!

On December 1, 2017 Harold was the proud recipient of the highly coveted 2017 AHATA Excellence Award for Employee of the Year of the Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association. This spring AHATA and Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa nominated Harold for the Caribbean Award which he got awarded this past weekend in Miami in the presence of Patrick van den Berg, assistant resort general manager and Tisa Lasorte, AHATA’s CEO.Harold started his restaurant career over 30 years ago at the famous Talk of the Town Hotel on Aruba. Harold did so under the guidance of legendary Aruba hotelier Ike Cohen, who was the first recipient of the CHTA’s Caribbean Hotelier of the Year Award in 1978.

I'm late to the party, but I would have recommended Elements. The Chophouse is excellent and the service is perfect.
My next idea would have been Atardi on the beach at the Marriott hotel. We will be trying it for the first time this year and have heard good things.
