That sounds very reasonable Andrea. Also if they insist that it truly is Grouper, list where it came from. Just be honest. I used to buy Tilapia at the supermarket and eat fish once a week. I enjoyed it very much. I even used to order this tortilla crusted tilapia from Omaha Steaks for years and used to have it every Friday's with some pasta. Then it started tasted kind of funny and I mentioned it at the office and my coworkers yelled out OH NO STOP EATING TILAPIA. I had no idea that it was a bottom feeder and under terrible murky farm raised waters. I thought I was eating healthy!

SAME! I do not like even the slightest bit of a fishy taste & tilapia seemed to be the easiest to mask with lots of lemon & dill or veggie pepper or salsa, etc. Thanks to this forum I have stopped buying/eating that & am back to being a chicken breast only kinda chick!

When I had dinner at Yemanja there was a waiter there that had worked at Amsterdam Manor. When I saw Grouper (Pangasius) on the menu I asked him if Amsterdam had real grouper at Mango's or Passions. He said he didn't know if it was real grouper or not but he said he knew it was frozen.

When we were on the island recently, there was talk that Grouper is slowly returning to the restaurants as fishing regulations are being adjusted.

After all of the talk about Grouper on an earlier thread I just couldn’t bring myself to order it. In the past I’ve enjoyed the Parmesan grouper at Barney’s. Also had some nice fried grouper sticks at Taste of Belgium awhile back.

$29.50 for a piece of farm raised bottom feeder
(worth less than 50 cents a pound)

it is just WRONG for them to be listing this as grouper
they should just tell the truth and be honest

keep up the good work CP
