    Restaurants with singers?

Based on a conversation in another thread I got to thinking about restaurants that we have been to that had singers performing.

Bavaria had a Frank Sinatra impersonator when we dined there with Andrea and Paul. Loved the food but it was one of those avoid eye contact situations.

We R Cuba was another spot with a very lively entertainer/singer. You could tell that he was just itching to start going to all the tables. Throughout the meal, Tom just kept saying, don’t look at him; don’t make eye contact! We were fortunate as we were just getting up to leave when he was heading our way.

Sole Mare was where I experienced my biggest fear; an accordion player going table to table asking for requests. I just kept saying, under my breath, please don’t come to our table, please don’t come to our table. Well he came to the table and Tom motioned to him that he didn’t hear well so he moved on. Awkward!!!

There are times I do enjoy the singers. For instance downtown at the Markeplace. If you sit outside at Casa Tua, Dutch Pancake House or Cafe de Plaza you can enjoy the musicians on the outdoor stage. Casa Nonna at the Ritz has musicians outside in the courtyard and we enjoy it when dining in the patio.

So, what do you say, yea or Nay on the singers?

My son was shooting spitballs at the accordion player old conucu house. I think it was in 1997.
He was old enough to know better, but he was real sneaky.
When we got him in private we beat him (the kid, not the accordion layer)

No, just no! No singers, accordion players, violin players, and for God's sake no mariachi bands! If I want music, I'll go to a concert.
