What a shame. Unfortunately, there will probably be more closings.

I bet you are right about other closures.
It is going to take years for the island to recover.

We had only been to ToB 1x.
    We went for breakfast.
We saw the menu and opted for a breakfast for 2 and it was about $25.
It was 2 poached eggs each, 1 piece of bacon each, 1 slice of toast each.
Us being breakfast outing people, we did expect more than 1 piece of bacon and one slice of toast.
    .
We sat there and said to each other.....on the way back to Sunset Beach Studios how bout a drive thru Mickey D's for an egg McMuffin?

We went to their old location. They had a really small bar and you could see into the kitchen through a small pickup window. The bartender was fun and I enjoyed the Belgium beers. We were there late afternoon and just had a variety of apps. I don’t remember it being too expensive and the food was good. Always wanted to get to the new location but never did.

I believe Taste of Belgium was owned by the same people as Papillon and Cilo. Any idea if those restaurants are closed also?

Sadly this may be the first of many restaurant closings. Some of them may be "more profitable" closed...which is fancy way of saying they will lose more money opening without customers lined up ready to purchase. Sadly our island is going to suffer even more in the coming months and I pray its short lived but I am not so sure anymore.

Stu always like Taste of Belgium, me not so much, but I could always find something I'd eat. Nothing in that mall seems to do very well.

the rents are high in that mall.
restaurants have a strike against them with the high rent.

    it is too bad.

I only had a beer or two a few times and never had their food. Still a shame.
