Well after lots of research we have booked a 1 bedroom at the Aruba Beach Club for 10 days at the end of March! We rented through a really nice owner who will also be down there (they have multiple units) so it will be fun to visit with them. Thanks to everyone for all the help- it is so great to have a forum for people like us who are brand new to Aruba. Now to just wait out the loooong MN winter. Guess I'll pass the time by looking for things to do and places to eat!

the long cold winter of MN will certainly pass more pleasantly as a result of reading about aruba.

glad to hear that you got a timeshare unit at ABC.
my husband and i have stayed there on a timeshare exchange and loved it.
everything is so very convenient and the people, the units, beach, pool, bar are excellent.
nothing overly fancy, nothing pretentious.......perfect for our needs/wants.
we'd stay there again if the opportunity arose.
enjoy and start working on your restaurant selections

With a 10 year old you'll be happy you got a unit with a kitchen. Palm Beach is only a bus ride away (or cab) for dinner's, etc. You made a great choice! )

    Hello!
I am new to the forum although I have visited it many times in the past. My husband and I have been to Aruba many times and just love it. I'm looking forward to finding out new things about Aruba and helping new members learn about Aruba also. We own timeshares at Casa del Mar but have stayed at many different places in Aruba. We just returned on September 15th from two weeks in Aruba staying at the Divi Phoenix and Aruba Beach Club. It was a wonderful visit as usual.

Welcome to the "Forum." You most certainly have come to the right place to find out new things about this "Paradise on Earth," aka "Aruba."

Thanks for your post...hope you do so often.

We met a couple that stayed at the Boardwalk and LOVED it! Also heard great things about Club Arias - you will LOVE Aruba - wish I were back there now (and I just got home Sunday!)
