    ACE Trip 9/10/22 Thru 9/17/22

CP Jones and all, It's true I'm here for days now.

I've been the laziest ever! Did not want to write but just sun, sleep and happy hour.

Day 1 9/10 arrived at Aruba Airport at 1230pm. A lot of planes there but no available gates. A few gates are under construction so we had to walk the plank. We took a staircase down out of the plane to a very hot tarmac and loaded to a very hot transport bus with no AC. A poor elderly Lady made it down only to trip between 2 wheel chair and fell to the ground. I could see it coming from inside the bus as she was walking and not looking at her surroundings. I wish I could have warned her but I was in middle of the bus and it happened so fast.

I had wheel chair service so it was a breeze for me thru immigration. The duty free shop was crowded! Like 20 people lined up to pay. The wheel chair guy said no worries and went behind counter and paid for my bottle. I skipped The West Deck as it was too humid. Arrived at Divi Phoenix at 130pm was in room at 330pm, happy hour and dinner 5 to 7 and called it a day.

    Day 2 -9/11/12

Sunday was breakfast on balcony, pool, happy hour 5 to 7 with a great band playing. I had 6 mojitos 2 for one and chicken quesadillas.

Day 3 - 9/12/22 Woke up sick with stomach virus. Third time I get sick at this resort in 3 different trips. Maybe it's the bar food I dunno. I spent the whole day in room sleeping. I went down to deli around 530pm to get a tuna sandwich and seltzer then back to sleep. Bummer!!!

Day 4 - 9/13/22 Better day! Felt much better, hung out at pool and dinner at Quinta De Carmen. It was humid so I ate indoors with AC. I had the stuffed lobster tail with chunks of lobster and shrimp. It was to die for! Delicious. For dessert espresso martini.

    That's it for now.

    Day 5 - 9/14/22

Up at 8am, Breakfast at resort at 9am eggs benedict my favorite. It was good and glad my stomach could handle it. Back to the room and I was feeling really lazy, lounging around so I started trip report. I did not go down until 1130am. Found a spot palapa by the walk way other side of beach. I went inside beach at 1 pm but it was very rocky. I was afraid of falling but took it step by step and got the hell out of there. Instead went to the pool and did my walking as I have been doing all week. Left around 230pm, shower and nap from 3 to 4pm.

Dinner was at MJ at 6pm. Although my stomach was better, it still felt sensitive. At MJ I had a nice ceasar salad. I ordered a dark n stormy drink which I read is good for the stomach since its made with ginger beer. Entry was coco rasta jumbo shrimp with Jasmine rice. Dessert 1 scoop of gelato dulce de leche for $5. When I received the bill, I was charged $7 for ceasar salad. They marked it as a half portion. I was like, that was a half portion? It was a medium bowl and twice what you would get at other rest. I hate to see the full portion. Anyway $7 for a salad and $5 for dessert was a great deal.

Back to resort, hung out at lobby for a while and saw that party bus arrive. No thanks! I think those mojitos my have caused inflammation of my intestines. I had 6 at Saturday happy hour and on Sunday plus drinks I had on plane Sat, drinks I had at pool Sunday. I over did it so I'm taking it easy now, drinking lots of water.

So glad that you are feeling better!!!
What is a "dark and stormy" drink?

    Dinner at MJ sounds fabulous.
    I love that place.
We have our reservations for early Dec.
