What is a "dark and stormy" drink?

    Dinner at MJ sounds fabulous.
    I love that place.
We have our reservations for early Dec.
Dark rum, ginger beer and lime. Not sure if it's for the faint hearted.

Ace...... lovin' your time in Aruba.... great meal at Mme J's...... and thanks for sharing.

Dark and Stormy is ginger beer on ice topped with dark rum. As the rum floats through the drink it looks like a storm.

Really?! They are really delicious. Not too many places offer them as not many bars, at least in our area, stock ginger beer.

I agree that all that booze may be the cause of your stomach/intestinal issues. I have also been told that many times people think they have a stomach virus, it is actually food poisoning.

I agree it could have been food poison. I had a burger Sat evening for happy hour. On Sunday evening before I left for happy hour, my stomach was grumbling. I ended up going to bathroom a few times but then it stopped and I left for happy hour. Next day, woke up sick with stomach upset, body aches. This is third time it happened to me at this resort same routine burger first day. I will surely skip burger next trip or go to local store..

Can't beat a Local Store burger. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
I want to grow my own food, but I can't find any bacon seeds...

Rum works as a laxative. https://www.healthline.com/health/al...uent-imbibers?

Not a pleasant read, but it does explain things.
