I figure that Ace stopped at West Deck and got comfy having a few drinks and a bite. He then headed to his resort with the intention of unpacking but instead decided on a nap! Hopefully, he’ll wake up soon and tell us what’s really going on!

ok, since all of the Forum members are patiently waiting for an update from Edgar - I think he owes us all double the updates...and double the gossip. ;-)

    I made it to Aruba..

I got to JFK NY airport around 615am for an 845am flight. We left on time and I must confess I had 1 coffee with Baileys, 4 Mint Gin Martinis, 2 mint margaretas. When we landed and I exit the plane, no wheel chair service. I walked and to my surprise I made it all the way to luggage without any pain. I did take an nsaid medication for 7 days prior to trip or it was the drinks but I felt no pain. I was first at customs, they scanned ED card bar code then I saw customs agent. I went to luggage claim, picked up duty free rum. When I exit they scanned ED card bar code again and out for taxi. They never asked for PCR test so I was puzzled. I guess the ED card bar code has all the info but it was easier than previous trips.

It was 135pm so straight to West Deck. Started off with an 8oz balashi draft, then a tequila ice tea and ended with a pain killer. I had the fried funchi, oh those conch fritters are to die for and a grouper sandwich.

I arrived at Aruba Phoenix at 330 pm and room was not ready. Glad I went to West Deck! By 4pm I was in my room 12th floor of the towers and what a view. I can see bugalu from my balcony and the beach, palapas etc. I unpacked and by 5 pm I headed down for happy hour a first. I was not tired since I slept a lot at gate in NY and plane. I had 2 mojitos and 2 loaded rum specials with a Hawaii Pizza. I think I lost count how much I drank on my first day but there is a night cap before bed from duty free rum in the works.

By the way the resort looks like it is in full capacity. People were hanging at happy hour and were
at pools and beach enjoying themselves.

So glad you made it and finally checked in with us..... some folks were worried 'bout you. I knew you were just fueling up for more adventures! Enjoy the stay friend!

Was the 'pain killer' at the West Deck another drink? Hope so.
