    Monday day 3.

Prior to departing on Saturday I had some stomach issues since Thursday 9/9. I would have thought it would have settled by the time I got to Aruba but it did not. I had a sour stomach Monday morning so no breakfast. I could not leave the room as I needed to be near bathroom. On my May trip I had the same issue on a Monday but I got sick in Aruba. This time I think I came down with a stomach virus. Bummer! Since I was stuck in the room, I got some OJ, sat on balcony, made a couple of Captain Morgan and enjoyed the view while listening to music. No lunch either. I had reservations at Bavaria for dinner but did not feel like going out. I ate at the pool grill some shrimp fajitas with tortillas. They had 2 for 1 happy hour so I had some white wine. Nothing exciting but made the best of it.

    Tuesday day 3.

Still with the stomach issues but a little better. No breakfast, headed for beach at 10am. It was a wonderful day! I sipped some ballashi with ice,had a nice hut accross small pool. I went in the water for around 25 minutes, later jaccuzzi, pool. I took a nice 30 minute nap on my palapa. I got hungry around 130 so went to pool grill and had a turkey wrap and a beer. Took a nap in room around 4pm and went back down to grill for dinner. It was Taco Night so I had some fish tacos which were pretty large and a bargain for $3. It was happy hour 2 for 1, I read mint is very good for the stomach so I had 6 mojitos and 1 beer plus a night cap in my room with the captain morgan. I forgot all about the stomach blues and slept well.

I hope the last 3 evenings I can go out to dinner but it seems my stomach is settling.

Alcohol kills germs, so why not get rid of the bug by drinking. Sounds logical. Let's stick with that. Mint and ginger both should settle a stomach. Don't some mojitos have ginger in them along with mint?

Hope your feeling better. Nothing better than napping under a palapa to help with that.

Bummer about not feeling well. I really hope it subsides so you can enjoy the rest of your trip and make the most of the time you have left.
