    Day 5.

    I'm alive and survived!

Woke up feeling better but was not hungry for breakfast. Headed out to pool at 10am, same hut accross from small pool, jacuzi. I was sore this morning with hip pains so I did not go inside beach water. I never knew how stressful on the joint was walking on the sand until I developed hip issues. I bought a bottle of chardonnay from the resort store $11 not bad. I had my water bottle filled with ice so I just enjoyed sipping wine, the view. When I needed to cool off I took a dip in the pool, used jacuzzi for hip therapy. Warm water does wonders...

Around noon, I finally got hungry so I went to deli and got a New Yorker sandwich which consists of corn beef, pastrami and swiss cheese. It was a very tasty sandwich but not a lot of meat like in NY Jewish deli who exaggerate with a 16 0z. It was just right. I say around 5oz and it came with plantain chips.

Back to hut for nap, wine, pool jacuzzi. I left around 2pm so it was a great day.

Took a nap in room around 3pm for an hour. Headed out for dinner at MJ at 545pm. Yea I finally got out!!! I had the schnitzel since I missed Bavara on Monday. Lord hang over plate is no exaggeration!!! This thing was huge! I did not think I could finish but I did. I guess not eating breakfast helped. I only had 1 Manhattan so that helped as well. I had a creamy espresso martini for dessert which was awesome. They brought out dessert menu anyway. They had the coconut dessert which I always wanted to try so I ordered it. Again huge and with 2 scoops of ice cream, whipped cream. I'm like wat!!! I loved it but of course I could not finish it. I ate about a third because the ice cream was filling and took a big piece to go. What a nice feast after days with stomach issues eating tacos, fajitas.

Mjs added a new menu of dry age steaks. They start at $95 and up to $150. They also have a steak menu for 2 at $200. I guess it's real quality imported steak.

Turned out to be a great day and it was nice getting out. I hope to enjoy the next 2 days...

I’ve had the schnitzel at MJ’s and they are not kidding when they say it’s the size of a dinner plate! Plus you had my favorite drink, an espresso martini! Glad you got out and are feeling better.

Yeah! Our Ace is back in the saddle! Glad you are feeling better, but you've now made me hungry and the lousy little salad I brought for lunch is not going to satisfy me! LOL!

    Day 6 9/16

What a wonderful day. I started breakfast off with some pancakes n sausages at divi beach with coffee. I did my covid PCR test at 10am. At pool by 1030am. Drank 2 ballashis with ice to stay hydrated. Hung out until 2pm. Back in room and had the mj coconut cake dessert for lunch with a pint of water. Nap time! At 5pm headed down for 5pm happy hour. Before I sat, waiter ordered mojitos for me. It was sliders night so I had 2 burgers and 1 pulled pork. Plus 6 mojitos and 1 ballashi draft which lasted until 730pm. It was a great evening as I got to enjoy Sun down from 6pm until 730pm.

    Day 7 9/17

Woke up early 6am. Got my negative result. Went to laundry at 7am and picked up breakfast at deli. At 9am went to pick up my print out of covid test. As they handed me the test I yelled out oh great news!!! Someone said I guess you tested negative. I replied, no I tested triple negative. They were all puzzled and asked triple negative? I answered, that's right, my negative was so off the charts, I can fly back to Aruba 3 times without having to be tested. The room erupted with laughter but the health personnel were not laughing. oh well..

Picked up laundry from dryer and started packing. I hit the beach at 11am. I was very sore this morning with both hips hurting and I was walking like a webble. You know webbles wobbles but they don't fall down. Anyway, bought a bottle of red wine to sip at beach. I hit the waters for 30 minutes and mostly floated. I had a difficult time standing up as the water is very shallow. It only goes up to your waist. I got up after several tries. By the time I got to hut, I was in severe pain but worth it. I Rested then hit Jacuzzi pool across for 15 minutes. Then spent 30 minutes in pool and back to hut. I left around 2pm. No lunch, shower, took Nap from 3pm to 4pm.

Dinner was at MJ again. They were so happy to see me again and I had 4 people waiting on me. I came for the wrack of lamb. They asked if I wanted any appetizer. I said, well the Korean spring roll interest me but the portions are too large and it's my last night. Otherwise I order it and take left overs to go. The waitress said, let me see if I can get you just one spring roll. She did and it was great. I enjoyed myself with 2 gin martini. For dessert I had an Espresso martini. Then another. They were just so good!!! So the waitress said, you know I,m going to bring you something special a whipped chocolate mousse for dessert something small. It was medium but heavenly!!!

No charge for spring roll, chocolate mouse. Food, service was too notch! I tipped well and in cash.

I checked out early and ready for Mint flight tomorrow. This time wheel chair service..

Will finalize trip when I get home..
