    Thur May 10

Today was a beautiful sunny day with some passing clouds that brought relief from the sun. The winds are still blowing but not as strong as prior days

We headed off to Surfside Beach today and had reservations at Reflexions Beach Bar and Club. $25 bought us large lounges with cushions and a nicely secured umbrella. We were there from 8:45 til 2 and we were again in the water most of the time. We had lunch there of burgers and cokes. It was a nice pleasant day. My guesstimate is that I was in the water for 3 hours.
    .
Downtown was bustling with cruise passengers hurrying back to the Carnival Vista and the shopkeepers were closing up shops. I wanted to shop at Kays to see if there were any claddagh rings, but they were closing up as I arrived.

We got back to Sunset Beach Studios and spent some time in the pool and sitting in the shade.

Dinner…….back downtown to meet up with Kathy (aka Sugar on this forum). We met at our usual Hung Paradise and Jane, the owner recited our choices. Andrea and Paul tomato soup and loempia. Kathy, loempia and beef and broccoli. It is amazing that she can remember. I urge you to give Hung Paradise a try and their tomato soup is beyond belief.

Crystal casino for a few minutes. Donation made. ‘Nuf said.

Tomorrow, back to Surfside Beach or maybe Boca Catalina.

you know better, we all love to read about relaxing beach days, and different places around the island, as well as friends made along the way. Trip reports can never be boring.

I agree totally with Tracey. If I can't be in Aruba, I thoroughly enjoy reading about the adventures (and sometimes misadventures) of someone who is there.
