    re: next May
    yes to sunset beach studios.
    we left a deposit today.

no to an aruba trip in november.
too many irons in the fire for us to make a plan.
we had thought we'd be in aruba over thanksgiving with our son and family, but he will be on active navy from Sept - Dec and our plans now will be to spend some time in maine helping our daughter in law with the boys while our son is doing his "navy thing".
but if we win the lottery anytime prior, we will be here in a flash

I am so glad your Belle is well.
Have a great, smooth ride home.
Don't worry about a 4 hour drive-we just came back from a driving trip in a 55 year old car-from NJ to Fl to Hilton Head. 4 hours is easy in a modern car-piece of cake.

    Our last full day

We spent from 9 til about 3 @ Baby Beach……..and boy did it get crowded by noon!
I spent most of my time IN the water and got out just a few times to get a drink, apply sunblock which were futile efforts. At least the stick sunblock stayed on my lips, but my forehead got fried and I was even wearing a ball cap.

We dropped our chairs off to our friend Janet, got lost in San Nic but did find rte 1 B after much cursing.

We took one last dip in the Sunset Beach Studios pool and showered and napped for an hour before dinner.

Dinner was at The Ritz “Casa Nonna”.
The place was lovely and the staff excellent.
    The food was spectacular.
We had cesar salad (assured it was good romaine), spaghetti pomodoro , chicken parm and then specialty coffees and shared a tiramisu.
I recommend this place very strongly.
If you want authentic home made pasta give this place a try.

    Casino…..less than profitable tonight.
Paul (who still has his first holy communion money) did a brief count of the casino funds and we are only down $300, which in my opinion is a win. Hahahahahaha
Will visit our local jeweler for my claddagh ring which I had hoped to buy here…..but that did not happen.

Paul did call the kennel earlier and all is fine with Belle.
They told us that they had staffing issues for the last week and had no one manning the emails.
We will pick up our Belleygirl Wednesday morning at 8!
Lots of anxiety for nothing but I thank you all for your kind words and support.

Not particularly looking forward to going home, but we are ready.
We are having some kitchen and bathroom tile work happening and then in a couple of weeks we head to York and Oakland Maine to see the kids and my niece’s high school graduation!!

After we land in Lauderdale tomorrow, we have a 4 hour drive to Lakeland.
That makes me a bit anxious.

    Epilogue

Well we are home. The dog is happy, andrea/paul May 2018-fullsizeoutput_133e-jpg The cats are happy. andrea/paul May 2018-fullsizeoutput_206-jpgandrea/paul May 2018-fullsizeoutput_1322-jpg (Middy drinking from the fish bowl) Xander Boegarts (our 2 yr old fish) is still alive.

Our travels thru Queen Beatrix airport yesterday was easy, but HOT.
The airco was not what is should have been.

From check in at 12:13 to arrival at the airport lounge was 35 minutes.
The longest tie up was in US Customs where we waited 20 minutes and only 3 booths were opened.

The flight JB AUA to FLL was smooth for the most part and very full.
We arrived in FLL in a blinding rainstorm 25 minutes early.

We did a park/sleep/fly thing and picked up our car, grabbed a sandwich and were on our way home by 7:45…it was a 4+ hr trip in heavy rain all of the way 595 to 75 to 4. Although this was a longer way, it was a better way for us especially at night in bad weather. (Normally 98 to 60 to Fl Tpk)
We walked into the house at 12:30 am.
It was a very long day indeed.

I hope that my reports did not put you to sleep and thank you for your comments along the way!

So glad that all the fur kids including the fish are well and happy. That's all what counts. Glad you made it home safely. Smooth flights are the best. Driving in heavy rain not so much.
