I sure have been enjoying your posts. They are so interesting. I'm glad you are having a good time. We stayed at LaCabana one of the weeks we were there and it was very comfortable. Enjoyed cinnabons every morning. I sure like Eagle Beach. Continue having a good time, be safe, and keep us posted.

Thank you for the kind words.
Hahah re: Cinnabon. I am so far over my weight watcher points daily I am trying to stay far away from Cinnabon.
When passing thru the lobby we make no eye contact with the place.

I heard that if you close your eyes when you eat you don't need to count the points? Hmm.

Paul is a lamb fan, me not so much.

    TAT update.
our pool will be open when we get home and I have a class on the 22nd.
so the timing of no swim and TAT are going to have to be delayed, maybe til August when we are at our son's house in Maine.
I go on the beach there, but NEVER in the water.

I do not like the ocean in Maine at York's beaches. COLD and Sharks

    May 14, 2021

    A beautiful day today!
Not much to report. We spent the day poolside and did not venture into the ocean today.
Dinner was at Chihuahua’s and it was good!
Paul and I had steak tacos and Amy had “divorced enchiladas” which looked terrific.
We thought about a stop at the Alhambra, but passed. Came back to LaCabana and then decided to give Alhambra a visit. The visit was futile.

Now, teeth brushed, and it is bed time.
Tomorrow will be a quiet pool day, with a dip in the ocean.

If I did not know that this was "Covid 19 time", I would say the amount of people and traffic are pretty similar to other May trips.

Agreed... I remember returning one year into Logan and the approach was over Revere Beach..... and the water looked nasty after a week in the crystal clear blue beaches of Aruba....yuck!
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the best of men!

    Revere is always nasty
    Nahant is a bit better.

I think all of us once getting time in the Caribbean never look at n Atlantic beaches and water the same way
and now the great whites are plentiful on the outer cape and Maine

    May 15 Saturday

    Weather delightful and WINDY!
Today was a quiet day at LaCabana poolside.
Lots of check outs and I am unsure if there were lots of check ins.
By check in time, I was back in the room napping for an hr.
I do not know what I would do without my daily snooze.

Lunch was a couple of bloody marys (hence the snooze)

Dinner was leftovers from our lunch at Reflexions on Thursday and a salad from the Islander restaurant.
I am very tired of leftovers.
Typically at home I make a meal enough for 2 days. But I freeze the extra and do not pull it out of the freezer for at least a week.

We are meeting Pam/Walt, Edgar tomorrow at Moomba and I hope that we eat there.
Last time we ate at Moombas, I remember it was very good.

We went to the Alhambra and hooray, came out of there with a few dollars more than we started with.

Now, it is Netflix time and maybe some popcorn.

More observations……the island is getting busier by the day, Saturdays seem slow because of check outs, the speed humps are beginning to tick me off and I am astonished to see how many people are following protocols and wearing their masks indoors and I love to see Aruban families taking “staycations” and renting units here at LaCabana for the weekend!!
We enjoy seeing the kids having fun and especially enjoy seeing parents doing a good job at parenting.

    Missing my Lily!
Got an email from the kennel/spa........ "Lily is doing well, she certainly likes to talk back when she disagrees."
    She is quite argumentative.
Paul continues to say "Lily who?"
