    Hi ArubaFan,
I really enjoyed reading all the updates about the start of your trip. I am also a fan of the new Balashi Mango beer so I really enjoyed hearing that you found a place that served it and were able to try it. ;-) I never knew that Passions on the Beach was open for Breakfast - so you just taught me something. My husband and I really enjoy Passions for dinners when we're on vacation so now we'll definitely make a point to try their breakfast on our next trip to the island. I can't wait to hear about your return to the Bucuti resort (I've never stayed there so I enjoy living vicariously through those that do - LOL).

Great trip reports. Glad you are enjoying! Quinta Del Carmen is always on our list - same owner as Barefoot. The tapas menu sounds like a nice change to try! We’ve been there during power outages. Not fun when on vacation! Enjoy every moment!

Yep we learned about Quinta from Barefoot. We always do our last dinner on the island at Barefoot. Has become a bit of a tradition. And for sure if you like Quinta and the tapas menu has a bunch of things up your alley go for it I say!

I am glad you are having a great time. I am eager to try out the tapas menu at Quinta Del Carmen. Papiamento is one of my favorite places(I have so many in Aruba). Were the elevators or any lighting working during the blackout at Azure?

So I wasn't brave enough to try an elevator but my guess is no but could be wrong. There was emergency lighting when we left in the stairwell, but out when we got back so guessing not much of a battery reserve on them. Blue was out for a good 2-3 hours less than Azure. The biggest pain was no water.
