Saturday we made it to Bucuti around 11ish. Room wasn't ready yet as expected so we hung out on beach a little bit and then grabbed lunch at Matthew's. Can't beat they they have a noon to 1:00 happy hour. Fish sandwich I had was decent, but a little salty. They had Magic Mango beer so all was good!

We got into our room a bit after 2 which was great. I have mastered Bucuti's umbrella reservation system, and was able to get a prime front row umbrella for the next day.

We got settled in and decided to do dinner at Twist of Flavors which is always good I feel. The grouper was great as were the mashed potatoes with bacon in them! I drank their last Magic Mango

Sunday we decided to check out the Bucuti buffet which I was a little nervous about since after this last year the idea of a buffet isn't appealing to me, but figured since included we at least needed to check it out.

I must say Bucuti nailed it. You go into the buffet and all food is behind glass and servers give you what you ask for. I felt 100% great with this. I really hope this style of buffet becomes the norm personally.

We then hung out at our umbrella for awhile before returning for Matthew's lunch HH. This time tried their chicken sandwich which had bacon and pineapple. Really good! And $5 for two Magic Mangos is hard to beat.

We then did more umbrella time and some ocean time as well. Around 6 we did a nice champagne sunset at Bucuti complete with some great appetizers. It was an amazing sunset. Not one cloud on the horizon.

We then had dinner next door at Ike's. I had a great seafood bouillabaisse. It had a little bit of everything in it.

Monday started again with the great Bucuti breakfast. They have some of the friendliest staff.

After some beach lounging, we had Pizza Bob's which I feel makes a solid pizza. They had lunch HH so cheap drinks and upgraded pizza size.

Again more beach and ocean time along with some Bucuti HH drinks on the beach.

Dinner was at Elements. Their food is always amazing. Went with a great ginger soup and duck. Both were great. My wife had a tuna tartare and spicy shrimps both also excellent.

Tuesday started much the same with breakfast and beach.

Went back to Matthew's HH this time trying their steak sandwich. Another solid choice.

No surprises beach and ocean again in afternoon.

We decided to go back to Quinta del Carmen for tapas since first time we were cut a bit short due to power outage. Everything was just so great. I really recommend giving this a try if the menu looks interesting to you. We ended the night with a port tasting and their amazing chocolate mousse. A great night!
