Chophouse has been a favorite of ours the last few trips. You really have to appreciate that they went to the trouble to do the right thing and give you the refund.

Wished you had cashed out after your nice win but sometimes we just can’t help ourselves!! On more than one occasion, I have given it back.

‘’Thanks so much for posting during your vacation. It really is appreciated!!

Just caught up my reading sounds like a great trip so far CP, not sure how much longer you are there but have a great rest of your trip. Sounds like your tooth has calmed down a tad, funny once you think about going to dentist it stops (lol). Just keep in mind your trip home if it starts to act up again, my last root canal was 2 days before Aruba. Continued luck in the casinos, have a bright or 2 for me please.

Soooooo... we've been here for 10 days and not a single wedding....I'm amazed. One year we actually saw 4 here...! Still no activity on the turtle nests in front of Manchebo and we check almost hourly! Past coupla days have been quite windy..... but we toughed it out on the beach.... no more rain since the other day...and that's a relief when you're on vacation...… and the tooth has been no (knock wood) problem.... yup, I know it's gonna need attention... but it can wait!

Ditto for beach stuff, Pega Pega, naps, walks and the usual routine yesterday. There was a helluva pelican feeding frenzy yesterday with 10-12 quite active birds grabbing lunch from the water.... they are really amazing to watch.... and they'd dive within 10 feet of us! Patti got a couple of starts with 12-18 inch 'shadows' flitting by on the ocean floor at our feet.... but little fish attract the pelicans and bigger fish so it's a natural progression!

Dinner was a last minute decision for Quinta del Carmen and it was a great decision. The atmosphere is what Patti wants.... romantic...! The place has changed quite a bit since our first visit 4-5 years ago..... and all good changes. The food and service were top notch....... I guess the only thing that seemed just a bit outta place was the 'astro turf' in the front courtyard...... but it actually seemed to work. This is a restaurant that I would recommend for great food and atmosphere....and adequate spacing between tables for conversation.

Alhambra was good to me last night with a coupla good runs at blackjack.... and a couple of beatings at video poker..... but I walked out a bit heavier at 2 am!

Going back home on Tue and to work on Thu and my feet are already screaming about shoes in their future.....

    Beach time...!

WOW! Congrats on the Royal! Was it on a machine on the casino floor or one of the bartop machines?

Your trip has gone by so fast. Really enjoy the last couple days. QDC is beautiful dining outside. We had a wonderful dinner last year and I have made reservations already for August. Have a safe trip home. Thanks for sharing.

Bartop…. and I played on an 8-5 but I normally play deuces wild.... and the machines are a huge compromise.... no sound, sticky buttons and bad payouts... I think they only have one 9-6 machine.

Lazy beach day again yesterday.... but a gorgeous day.... a bit too much wind.... but nothing to interfere with my naps. Had our last lunch with Carolie, a bartender at Pega Pega.... her baby is due in Nov or Dec..... she is such a sweetheart and her facial expressions remind me so much about my daughter. Patti gave her a generous 'shower' gift....and hugs.

Dinner was at Ike's at pool side and was quite good..... but it's one of those places that you cannot see the menu in the dark...… but they serve wonderful meals with great service and fantastic presentation.

Alhambra saw me coming at blackjack yesterday and I promptly lost 700 at one table.... woulda cut loose earlier... but I kept having to dig into pockets to buy more chips to cover splits and double downs when the opportunity came up. Bailed out and went to a video poker machine where I quickly hit 4 deuces for 1000.... that was quite a relief since it was way too early to go back to the room. I jumped around from blackjack to video poker for another few hours and never got into the red again... so it was a profitable night and a good chunk for next year's trip!

Last day on the beach.... so gotta go maximize it!
