Happy Patty had some of those pretty drinks with pretty names, ever hear that saying "What's money when you are with your Honey".....someone we used to hang out with years ago would say that to my Dh who was just my honey at the time, always stuck in my head

So, after a long travel day..... we're back to 'reality land'...…. Packed and left Manchebo at 10:45 for our 1:50 flight. Long check in lines for JetBlue and then quickly thru immigration... did some duty free and moved our bags to customs..... the line was hideous. We were snaked thru the ropes and that filled the waiting area with only 2 customs agents taking people. I really hate crowded places.... I feel so trapped. Finally got outta there, dumped our suitcases and made it to the gate with less than an hour to wait. It's the longest time we've ever spent checking in..... boarded a full flight and landed at Logan on time. The Airbus we were on had upgraded entertainment electronics..... so Patti was able to binge watch 3 different movies that she selected when she wanted.

Monte picked us at Logan..... and got home just after 9...… the pets were well cared for, the house was clean and pantry stocked. Thank you Donna!
Patti's going to work for a few hours today..... and I'm going in tomorrow..... that's just back to reality!

    2 agents working is ridiculous.
you need to write a letter of complaint to the "prez"

I am sorry that your fun is over and it is now time to get to work.
however, it is time to plan for NEXT year!

again, thank you for sharing your time with us.

CP, don't you have global entry? My wife and I have it and are always through that room where you reclaim your baggage and go through US customs in minutes. they have plenty of Kiosks on the right side of the room and its a breeze to get through there. I would highly recommend it for anyone who regularly travels to Aruba or anywhere outside the US.
Hope your transition back to work isn't too painful.

    apparently he does not.

many of us only travel out of the USA a couple of times a year so although the cost is a bit high, it is the convenience of having to travel to the airport (traffic I-4)for the interview that could be a game over for me. CP would have to go to Boston.
I agree that the convenience of the Global Entry is wonderful, but maybe the process is not convenient for many.

Frankly.... not worth the effort/cost for one time per year...…… we fly JetBlue even more space so that takes care of TSA precheck outta Boston..... besides I need to have something to bitch about! The customs hall in under construction...… and the few people that had global entry were manually checked thru. Thx for the thought, tho!

It is crazy that they only had two people on the US end, but I had read an article saying they moved personnel to the Mexican border.

I am glad your trip home was uneventful.

I will miss your trip reports.
