Lol ...agreed, it's like why do you even need to ask about the extra days! Wow...29 days...I was so jeolous

I’ve never been there but would love to try it in September when we are at the Marriott Stellaris.
We tried it years ago and it was pretty good. I am hearing even better reports now and same for Hadicuri, we plan to try to expand our lunches at the Ocean Club. We got really used to eating the grilled grouper or snapper sandwiches at the Stalaris Beach Bar for lunch. It was a lazy thing..lol

My message about sea of Valium was meant for Walt - my mistake if I did not respond to him. Definitely his trademark!

Loving your stay at the Hilton. It brings back lots of good memories for me of our times there when it was the Radisson. Thanks!

    Day 3 -June 16th

Once again, I was awake by 6am. Not sure why, honestly, I think it’s still the excitement after not being here the last two years. Today however, Deb said go get coffee’s and she would get up. We decided we needed a good power walk so we took off up towards the low rises. We walked all the way to the new Embassy Suites. That is a strange one, still moving slowly and having much more to go before it’s ready. We walked back and were ready for Bugaloe to open for breakfast! Yes, we did that again! Me with the American Breakfast and Deb had the Steak Breakfast Tacos, she says they are some of the best she has ever had.

We headed back to the Hilton, stopped in at the spa and scheduled a couples massage for 5pm. Then hit the palapa for more sun and valium sea. At approximately 9:38am something wonderful happened! Deb, while laying there in her chair reading her book under the palapa looks at me and says, “Now, wait, what day is it? Think about the significance of that, we are literally 40hrs and 8 minutes since we arrived! You know what this means don’t you? Pre-Vacation has officially validated as a success! If you can forget which day it is that quickly after you arrive and before you actually check into your timeshare for your real week, you have accomplished something significant!

We finished the morning with a few drinks on the beach. No cruisers came around even though the Explorer of the Seas arrived this morning. Beach was quiet but we hit Bugaloe again for Lunch, as said, it’s just really good and convenient. We both switched it up again, I got the mixed grill, which had a grilled chicken breast, small piece of really good steak and 3 small ribs. It came with fries and salad. Deb got the Bugaloe Burger. It had an egg on it, she said it was amazing.

More sun, surf and pool, came back to the room around 3:30, grabbed a quick shower and headed to the spa. We have never done the spa at the Hilton, we did the Marriott years ago and we have done the 15min beach massages a few years back in front of the Marriott. We got the couples massages, it was a 50 min massage that was really amazing. Deep tissue, feet, etc. We really needed it and are very happy we did it. I would highly recommend. Their price is $127 per person which if you compared to other spas, its pretty competitive.

I made reservations for Bohemian. We have eaten here once before, I am dying for some Octopus, which they have good reviews for.
Reservation was easy, we had our choice of times, still not too crowded here yet which is good. We did get the Octopus for an appetizer; wow was it amazing. Best we have ever had. Portion size was pretty good too. Deb got the Brisket with an Asian flavor; I got the Duck Breast. Both of which were amazing. The portions were huge. That was the biggest duck breast I have ever had, probably 15 slices with a great sauce. Mashed potatoes were very good as well. All their stuff is very pricy but I have to say the portion sizes made up for it as did the meal quality. The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was the pour given for a Jefferson’s Whiskey straight up. It just didn’t look like even a full shot. At $14, I only had one and decided to have my second on the balcony when we got back!

Another great day, stopped by the Mia Sola bar outside the lobby of the Hilton, it was lackluster at best. We couldn’t even get service at one of the out tables, so we opted to return to the room for a nightcap.

Tomorrow, we check out of the Hilton and begin the checkin/room selection game process at the Marriott Ocean Club. Hopefully meet Ace and Andrea for a drink as well !

Absolutely love your trip reports. Thank you for sharing. Sounds like a perfect day. You definitely got a lot in which is great since the days FLY once you get into the Aruba routine! Enjoy the transition to the Ocean Club. Our friends were there in April. They really enjoyed it and loved the updated room renovation!
