glad that you arrived!
are you required to be in your room at 10 pm?
one of the lacabana staff members told me that hotel/resort guests can sit on the balconies, patios and public areas on the resort property after curfew.
she told me that as she was typing me that message, there was a family of 5 sitting poolside playing cards at a table.

Glad you made it there with no issues. Looking forward to your updates. Have fun!
Glad the trip down went well. We'll be anxiously awaiting your update! One thing I know for sure - it's warmer there than it is here!
Enjoying the afterglow of a safe arrival..... sit on the balcony as late as you want!
8:00 Tuesday night and I'm in for the night. Well, out on the balcony, but ... I'm tired for some reason.
Travel went smoothly. Had a whole row to myself. I was second off of the plane and breezed through passport check. Got my Bailey's at duty free, customs moved quickly, and zipped through the already tested line. Jay's picked me up, got my car, stopped to gas it up then drove to Divi in the pouring rain.
Got checked in then head to Super Food since Ling was closed. Got most of what I wanted but realized I forgot coffee. Of all the things to forget!! I headed up to Alhambra plaza to buy some overpriced coffee at the convenience store, but.... They closed up. I am really going to miss that store! I decided to have dinner at Twist of Flavors since I was there and had nit eaten in about 24 hours.
I had the early bird special for 26.75 and chose Caesar salad, grouper and chocolate mousse. It was pretty good and I'm disappointed in myself for not trying TOF in prior years. I stopped in Dunkin an scored a bag of coffee.
Had my massage this morning. Back to Divi for some pool time. Cooked myself a burger for dinner and enjoyed it with some chips and cold bottle of Chill.
Divi Village kind of sucks right now. The seabreeze bar and café are closed. The towel hut is closed, and they are not cleaning the pool here or putting on lights in the pool area so people can see where they're walking. Over at Divi Links they have the swim up bar open and Mulligan's is open. The towel hut is open to exchange pool towels. There are only 17 people here at village in about 6 rooms. There is no reason they couldn't have put the 17 of us in rooms at Links.
To answer a question about being out in my resort, if there was anywhere in my resort to go out to, then yes, but nothing in Divi Village is open.
I reservation for 1 at Taste My Aruba tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to it. Ok In going to pour some caramel Bailey's and eat my carrot cake!
I'll try to update again tomorrow.

thanks for sharing your first full day.
yes, of all things to forget.......Coffee!!!
Is the pool over at the Divi Links a quick walk from Divi Village?
ToF gets mixed reviews. Most service related. I hope to go there in Dec.
I hope that things liven up a little.
If you get back to TOF at all, their creamy garlic mushrooms are amazing. I like going there for wine and appetizers in the late afternoon when I need a break from the sun.
Sorry to hear so much is closed at Divi Village. Any chance they have abbreviated hours and will be open later in the week?
