I know what you mean about time dragging in the lead up to your Aruba trip and flying when you're on the island. Just one more day...a couple more hours and you will be stepping off your flight, speeding through Immigration, baggage claim and on your way to your hotel!!

Everyone is tucked away in their beds, almost all packing is done, just the last minute toothbrushes, etc. Everyone will be up in about 2 hours to pack the car and head to Newark! Aruba here we come!

Sitting at the gate with 2 hours to spare. Took us 30 minutes from the shuttle bus to the gate! I'm liking Wednesday travel!

I hear ya Jacki!! Travelling during the week is so much more relaxing than on weekends. Less crowds at the airport, more room on the plane( depending on the flight) and a much faster trip through immigration. I've flown out of T&T on Thursdays for my last two trips to Aruba, it was early morning (7:35 am), for one of those I had an entire exit row to myself, in the other I was sandwiched between a very talkative housewife on her first trip to Curacao with her husband and her sister, and a Laotian fisherman who after rushing to get on board took my assigned window seat. No scene there, just the fact that I was one step away from Aruba made it all the more worthwhile. That and I fell asleep after filling out my immigration card as the lady next to me kept on talking.

Have a great flight. And remember to avoid looking to the left after you exit the aircraft and before you hit the escalator to go upstairs.

Hope your first experience on Southwest was a good one and the layover isn't too bad. I'm interested to know if you feel like this flight was worth it for the cost savings for your family and if you see yourself booking this flight again?
