Enjoy your time in Aruba so happy to know you are there! Enjoying your reports, we had the pasta in the cheese wheel last visit and really enjoyed it. Great to see the beach at ABC and Casa Del Mar so large and beautiful, been checking it out on webcam.

Paul is the milk drinker, not me....gag

what we end up buying is the Dutch ultra pasteurized milk in the cartons on the shelf. (equivalent to Parmalat in the USA)
we get the 2% and it has the consistency and taste as half and half.
the whole milk almost has the consistency of whipping cream.
Paul says it is a richer taste too than regular milk.
(the ultra pasteurization process and the feed that the cows are fed in Holland is a better grade of feed than here in USA......just like Irish butter is so much better than USA butter...higher fat content)
Funny story about looking for milk in Super Food. On our June trip I brought a zip baggie of Cheerio’s so we needed milk. At Super Food we looked for milk ( quart size ) and couldn’t find any. Then I saw a qt. in Dutch with a picture of a cow on it. The next morning I opened it up and poured it over the cereal. I tasted it (yuck) and thought it was bad. My husband googled it and we had bought buttermilk! Lesson learned. Our Nov. trip I packed parmalate!

Not much to report. We spent another gorgeous day on the beach. We checked into the new room in the afternoon, and the view is better than I expected. We have a nice view of the Casa Del Mar pools and grounds. We ate a late lunch at the bar, and weren't hungry for dinner, so we canceled our dinner reservations. Someone on the thread, about what we no longer feel the need to do anymore, mentioned that they no longer need to go out for lots of nice dinners. I think that we've reached that point. It's more about slowing down and relaxing. We ended up walking over to Manchebo and partaking in their happy hour, so I guess that we had a liquid dinner. Later on, we picked up some Dutch milk and had a few snacks on the balcony.

We don’t do much of fine dining any more, although I really enjoy Casa Nonna and Madame Janette. It’s much more relaxing to not have to make a reservation. Of course, we tend to travel doing low season so you can get away without making reservations.

You are so right it's about slowing down and relaxing. Usually I treat myself to a fancy dinner on my last night and go to MJ, Quinta De Carmen etc. On the last trip, I hung out in the pool for a few hours and finished off my duty free bottle which was a couple of drinks. Left the pool at 330, bought a pastrami sandwich at resort deli and canceled my dinner plans with Quinta De Carmen. I no longer see a need to make a rest list as I don't stick to it. I also like the local places now like Pika's corner, Bingo etc.

Not much to report. We've spent the last two days reading and relaxing on the beach. We dined at Waters Edge at Costa Linda on Sunday. Since we've stayed there for the last 10 years, we've eaten there numerous times in the past. They've become very popular recently, due to Facebook, and now you need reservations. I had the crab cake appetizer and veggies as my meal, and Tom had the red snapper. The service and food were excellent.

We weren't in the mood for another big meal tonight, so we walked over to Casa Del Mar and had burgers at the bar. They were quite large, but very good. Now we're relaxing on the balcony. Such a hard life in paradise.

Such a hard life in paradise indeed. Rest assured that there are more than a few of us dying for that hard life.
