    congrats on the weight loss.

screaming eagle was never a place that caught our eye.
sorry that your meal was bland..........I find that dieting and bland are 2 words that seem to be used together a lot.
I wish that they had been able to "fancy up" the scallops and make the salmon better than at home.

    enjoy and thanks for sharing.

I am so happy you were able to make it back to Costa Linda. We may see you in February around the Superbowl. Not a sure thing yet, but Costa Linda is definitely on the short list. We haven't decided for sure when our next trip will be.
    Thanks for sharing your trip.

I used to work for a water utility so I am paranoid about water leaks while we are away
Luckily my mom stops by a few times to check in and makes me feel better.
The best trip is the next trip. Anxiously waiting to book something.

Yes, Peggy, LOTS of discipline, which I'm not known to have. The first six months of covid I did lots of quarantine cooking. We weren't eating out, and Tom would mention something that he missed eating and I would cook or bake it. By September our clothes were getting tight, so we both decided to lose a few pounds. A few months later I had my checkup at the Dr. By then I had dropped about 10 pounds but blood work showed that some numbers were going up. It was either lose the weight or medication. That's when I got really serious, and Tom joined in. We both worked out every day, rarely missing a workout, and I often added a long walk in the afternoon. Tom lost 56 and I lost 44. Losing weight is very hard work, but keeping it off is so much harder. I'm not throwing out my fat clothes yet.

Costa Linda is so much fun for Super Bowl. We really missed it this year. Yes, water leaks are scary. We're just hoping that we have no more while we are away. The system is probably 10 -15 years old( all of the years run together in our old age) so when we get home, Tom is going to start replacing parts. It's good to be married to such a handy guy.

I admire your discipline, especially being able to manage the loss during the pandemic. More people than not, gained weight.

Great job losing the weight!!! Most gained throughout 2020 like me! Trying to start WW every week and go off a day or 2 later. I’ve always been successful on it but not there yet. Enjoy your skinny clothes! Did you follow a specific diet program?

Great news about the weight loss for both of you. Will you guys be staying at your place in the Renaissance too? We have been tracking our ideal flights for months. Its staying over $1200 per person so far. We paid $900 total for both last year. So fingers crossed. We might have to go later in February for work reasons.
Enjoy your trip. We love trip reports and lurk in the background everyday searching for them

WW has always been my go-to diet plan for over 30 years. I probably go on it for a few months every year. I lost the first 10 pounds on WW. My dr. suggested that I do a few televisits with their nutritionist. She put me on a much more restrictive plan, severely limiting carbs, lots of healthy veggies and fruits, lean protein. It took some getting used but the weight came off much faster than WW so that was good.

Thanks, Sean. You have been such an inspiration when it comes to weight loss. We were able to move our week at Renaissance this year, so we will be moving up there on Friday. I hear you on the flight prices. I've already started looking for February and they are extremely high. We hope to see you guys.
