OK drunk post alert! We are here! for like a long time now!

Travel day was good. Car came a little early, got to the airport in just enough time to get to the flight. Asked for seats together even though I paid the least expensive flight possible. United accommodated with us all in the same row & an empty seat between my husband & I - nice!

Landed 1:21 & thru the airport by 2:16 even with long lines & a stop at Duty free. Got the car at Hertz on the airport property and headed to The Paddock for our first Aruba Arriba & Balashis! Ahhhhhhhhh

Had lunch then headed to La Cabana for check in. Very smooth process, they have it down to a science. Very impressive the way they handle cleaning the glass divider between each guest.

Went to the beach for sunset, back to the pool deck for happy hour and up to the rooms for a very needed sleep - according to fit bit I slept for a total of 1 hr 49 minutes Thurs night.

Up at the butt crack of dawn, on the beach by 5, didn't see a beach chair guy till 8 ish. Spent a few hours on the beach, gathered everyone for a Price Smart run at noon, some went back to La Cabana, others persevered to Super Food. Back to the beach for sunset, my sisters in law arrived around 2:45, then to the pool deck for swimming and happy hour, staying there for late happy hour and returning to the room at 10ish.

Great family time reminiscing about old times and 4-H and camp songs and singing along to YouTubed songs. American Pie, Rise & Shine, etc. I had it out with my cousin's son for being disrespectful. I don't play games in that respect. I put the 15 year old on time out. He's not very happy with me, but it gave him & his mom the opportunity to have some good bonding time and a long awaited cry. Oh well - don't act like a disrespectful little brat tomorrow & we'll be fine!

Back in the rooms now and so ready for a good night's sleep!
