    Thursday June 16

We were dropped off at Orlando at 5:30!
Just 45 minutes from my house to the airport.
    No traffic on I4.
We breezed thru the airport including tsa.

Both flights were fine………As we were coming in to Aruba, it got a little bumpy, but otherwise AOK
Boy was it nice to have a real first class experience for a change…… nice drinks in real glasses, we both had hot salted nuts which was kind of nice, then cobb salad with broccoli salad and dessert. Finally, the covid box lunch is gone

Our experience with the shuttle drive to Tropic was not especially pleasant. He was kind of rude and a bit disrespectful, but in his defense, he probably had a long day. He did not seem to grasp the concept that our last name is James. We got our car and OMG it has a backup camera and an “A” license plate.

Check in at the Airbnb was easy and the host is a real nice guy.
I will post a few photos, but the place on AirBnb has photos….LaLacle Suites
The pool is tiny but deep enough for me to hop in and play my playlist and do 95 min of water aerobics…………I was observed by a stray cat, with haunting yellow eyes.

Dinner was with a friend at Hung Paradise…………..Paul had the famous tomato soup and we split a loempia and a beef and rice and vegetable dish. Leftovers are in the fridge and will be dinner tomorrow!

Alhambra was in and out………..we did leave with every cent we put in, but it was hot in there and we were too tired to sit and push the buttons.

Tomorrow, an early shopping for some staples…milk, beer, mayo and cookies.

We plan on hanging with Ace for a while at Lacabana. Hope to see Brad and his bride too.

Weather today………..apparently some rain early in the morning, but partly sunny and windy from 3 pm on. The breeze is delightful.

    Goodnight all.

Sounds like a great first day. I give you credit for all you did! We are usually disoriented first day from the early rise/long trip etc. So glad you enjoyed!

    June 17, 2022. Friday

Weather today was perfect. Just enough clouds to give us a break from the sun for a good amount of time.
We had breakfast ($10 special) at Islander Grill.
It included coffee, juice, 4 strips of bacon, 2 eggs any style, 2 sausage links, 2 pieces of toast and 2 hash browns.
I traded my sausage for Paul’s bacon and gave him my OJ and hashbrowns.
I was as happy as a pig in poop.

We jumped in the ocean across from LaCabana and it was glorious.

We met Ace for a drink at the Pata Pata and had kind of given up on Robster, but after his trek to another resort he found us and it was a nice meet and greet.
I posted a photo in another thread.

We did our Super Food extravaganza and if I had real valium, not the sea valium it would have been helpful. I was stopped today in the store by a nice man who is a lurker on the forum. Last name Todd and he seemed very nice. Thanks for saying hello.

We bought tenderloin skewers which we will have tomorrow night for dinner on the grill.
Also a few other items…beer, milk, cream and some cold cuts and cat food………..$185.
Where is Aldis when you need it?

Tonight at Alhambra was ironically profitable. We came out ahead $190.

So here I sit, feeding the stray cats (3) and trying to keep them off the table and the ipad.

    Good night all.
Tomorrow with the Grace from God, will be a repeat….

Phrogg....I had a balashi today at the pool and I thought of you.
Your face is on the beer can and it says " hurry back"

More pool time at our residence of which is becoming a concern.
It is just too small for us and when the kids come and use the adjoining unit it might be problematic. The place is nice, but we definitely miss the space and the resort feel.
This place is ideal for a couple with not much stuff. O dear God, have we got stuff. Kevin and family will have stuff too. We are screwed. We may be living out of the trunk of the car.
I stepped on Legos barefoot today and the kids are not even here yet. (ya, we brought their Legos from our house…………2 rubbermaid containers of about 1000 pieces. Yup we are up that creek, no paddle.
