A quick little thing that happened earlier in the water at Surfside

I was forced to do my Jesus imitation… I was floating around as was Paul. He looked down into the water and exclaimed OMG a snake. I moved like a fat gazelle and walked on the surface! It was biblical! He watched if for what seemed to be an eternity…. And then held up someone’s braided hair extension.

That is all , time for dinner.

    Sunday June 19

    Weather today was excellent.
Wind and sun and some clouds, not many though.
Even wearing a hat and slathering block on, my face still burned.
My wrinkles will have more wrinkles.

We made our way over to Reflexions early, by 9 and got a good spot.
By 11 am it was packed.
We split a burger and each had sodas.
Ya, zero sugar coke is not as good as diet coke, but still way better than diet pepsi (IMO)

We were in the water more than we were out.

We came back to our rental and swam for a bit, threw in a load of laundry and then took a much-needed nap.

Our son came home from his trip to Rotterdam and we facetimed and he wished Paul a happy Father’s Day amd we wished him the same. They are getting organized and with the Grace from God will be here Saturday at noon.

Dinner was at Casa Tua at the Seaport Marketplace …we shared a Greek salad and Hawaiian pizza. It was pretty quiet downtown.

We visited the Alhambra casino and it was ugly. Nuf said on that!
Stopped at the Glitz casino and it took me less than 10 min to lose $50.
Back to our digs for some tv and probably lights out at 11.

Dentist tomorrow at 8, then Reflexions @ Surfside for some more floating.

And no matter what the naysayers say………….there are mosquitos or some sort of biting flying monsters that give bites that create welts. Off is not working so well for me on this trip.

PS It is now pouring buckets!!!

    Good night all.

    LOLOL!!!
The same thing happened to us two years ago except it was a rubber snake by the shoreline. Some very ingenious middle school aged kids had put it in the water and were watching from their front row palapa doubled over with laughter as people ran away.

So far noticing them outdoors at around sunset… at the place where we are staying and last night at Casa Tua and at Hung Paradise on Thursday.

I am a biting bug magnet.

Completely understand. I think the tiny bit of rain sometimes has something to do with mosquitoes coming out. Maybe you can try another spray or repellent. I’ve seen some brands recommended on the forum but don’t remember the names.
