Day 3 (so far). Okay, full disclosure: I'm being so lazy I almost can't stand myself!! But darn it, I'm due, so I'll get over it and continue my couch potatoe ways...
Another beautiful but windy day; a bit hotter today and water is still really rough so I'm still "pooling" it. Slept in until 7am (I know, that's not late, but it is for me!). Wasn't really hungry so threw on some clothes and went downstairs to Manchebo's new "Coffee Bar". Honestly, not impressed. Took forever to get a coffee (and no one else was there) and a cinnamon roll which frankly was almost inedible). But I enjoyed my coffee back in bed watching a show on my laptop.
Finally made it down to the beach around 9:30. And folks, that is where Lisa planted herself for the day. I asked Victor for a couple of extra towels so I could prop my arm up. That sweet guy came back a few minutes later with a nice size pillow from one of the couches in the pavilion. I was reluctant to use it (really nice pillow) but he insisted it was okay and it really did do the trick. Had my favorite frozen lime daiquiri around noon and then a burger and fries which I shared with a few birds (I think much to the annoyance of the couple sitting near me; but I've quickly discovered they're "grumblers" about everything-anonymous staff info! Must protect my source! LOL!). I didn't even read much today; Popped in my earbuds and grooved to my BTS playlist on my tablet (85 songs strong and counting so it's good for about 5 1/2 hours). Think that annoyed them too since I was bouncing around on my chair and silently singing along. Think they thought I was either drunk (not) or a nut job (entirely possible). I didn't really care cuz I was having a grand ole time doing my thing. It's not like they had to listen to it...
Now I'm showered (my hair is not liking Aruba this year; it'll be straw by the time I go home! again, ask me if I care) and just relaxing on this incredible bed with the curtains open and a view of the pool, swaying palms and beautiful clouds doing some stuff on YouTube and writing to you dear people who I know completely understand that doing nothing or going non-stop are both acceptable on the happy island!
Soon I'll get dressed and go down to Ike's Bar. Today is smoked lemon drop martini day! I'll report back later on how it is. As I think I mentioned last night, I'm having dinner at Omakase Sushi Bar but I won't be having any raw fish and seaweed. Sorry, not my thing. I already know what I'm having...shrimp tempura app, main course yakisoba noodles with shrimp & steak and dessert banana tempura (have a "free" coupon for that). Think I'll try a Sapporo beer; never had it. After I waddle back to my room I'll report how all that went.
Hope I'm not boring you all with my minutae! So far, vacation is going just the way I hoped it would - being and not doing.

Thank you, Laura. Yes, arm is much better today. I was being bad about "support" and really wasn't doing my little PT exercises. I've learned my lesson and will be a good doobie for rest of trip.

What a great day! Try the Sapporo it's a fave of mine. There should be a question on the ED card... are you a grumbler or whiner?? If yes... No entrance for you!! Ignoring your grumblers probably chapped their Heinekens... well played!

glad that you got the pillow!
I bet it will be waiting for you tomorrow.
    Lazy...................GOOD!
    Boring..................NOT!
Waddling........let's call it the "Manchebo swagger"

    What is on you playlist?
Mine is lots of ABBA, Streisand, Neil Diamond, Led Zeppelin, Frankie Valley 4 Seasons, Enya

Sitting with earbuds, singing and dancing in your lounge is just the norm...isn't it?
THINK.. is it Thoughtful? Helpful? Inspirational? Necessary? Kind? sidtm

Manchebo’s cinnamon rolls were a favorite of mine. They made them with pie crust with plenty of sugar and cinnamon. Growing up those were the cinnamon rolls I knew. I do remember on our last trip they were different. I’m not great with change.

Nice to hear that the staff is still attentive. Hope your arm continues to improve!

Loving your days...... I agree with you about the quality of the new mattresses .... dreamland for sure! Regarding earbuds... how can you 'silently sing'.... I've been banned from earbuds forever......cuz I really belt them out..... and have an awful singing voice and I am entirely tone deaf!

We've never tried Omakase so I'm interrested in your take on it. We generally prefer to go off property.

I am loving your vacation! Curious about Omakase. My husband loves the raw stuff but I prefer my food cooked. What you plan to order tonight sounds delicious!

Walt, I liked the Sapporo but it didn't taste much different to me than any other good beer. I'm not very good at discerning the differences in brews. I just like beer! LOL!
Yes, they should be banned. I have to admit I enjoyed myself a bit more because I knew they wanted me to sit perfectly still...which I didn't. But I'm getting down there early tomorrow to grab a first row palapa. Not because I care about that much but then I won't have to look at them!!

And yes, Walt, I mean my beloved Bangtan Boys. I have been a devoted fan and card-carrying member of ARMY since 2017. Actually do some work with reactors on YouTube and they are the real reason the laptop came with me this year. It's best not to get me started on my seven boys. I'm a walking encyclopedia. You may be the only one here that knows who they are! LOL!
