I am really appreciating you taking the time for the "trip reports"..thank you!

So, pavers in the Lacabana parking lot............wow, an expensive redo.
I am not looking forward to the inconveniences of the parking lot being renovated.

When you go to the beach have you had a hard time finding shade?

    Not a problem...

I imagine that they will be done with the lot by the time you arrive. It's moving along quickly.

We only go to the beach for an hour or so, so we really don't look for any shade, but if we did, it would be hard to come by on Eagle Beach. For us. it's no concern.

I finally took a few minutes to load the google photo app so I could view your photos. Love the new car. It’s so fun to see photos of our favorite spots that we’ll be visiting in just a few weeks.

Wow I love the photos and appreciate them. It really made me feel home sick.

I've never been to the Fish House or Red Fish but I wonder how do they compare to the people who have dinned at both..

We have been to both and would return to either. Fish House has A/C and Red Fish does not. Outdoor seating can bring flies at either. If you enjoy camping then flies are not an issue

Tell me about it. I was looking at our front yard tonight and the grass is covered with snow.

    Thursday Day 10:

This afternoon it was back to Eagle Beach. The weather has been great so far this trip. We’ve had a few sprinkles in the morning but nothing of any significance. The beach from Oceania towards Palm seemed more crowded today and that was even after the tour buses had picked up and left. The other direction not so much, as I’m thinking most want some type of cover to escape the sun as needed.

Went back to the condo for a dip in the pool and then sat poolside for a bit close to the newly planted palm trees. Between those and the pergolas that have been constructed, there is quite a bit of area for sun protection for those that want it, without having to sit under the gazebos. We discussed dinner options for a bit and then changed before heading downtown.

We decided on QUEPASA. They still have the Florins for Dollars daily. I thought it was 4-6 but it is now 4-5. Maybe I just had it confused with their happy hour that is 4-6. We both had the Chicken Cordon Blue Cheese with aside of Green Garlic Asparagus. We also had a beverage each. The happy hour at the bar extends into the dining room, so that was also part of the early bird special. I think our waitress left or went on break when our bill came, as a new server brought us the check. He was not aware that we ordered before 5, so I brought it to his attention, and he corrected the bill and apologized for the error. The total without tip came to $41.89.

From there we headed to the Eagle Beach Resort Casino. The wife wanted to see if they had updated it at all. We walked in and walked out, as it is still the same old same old.

From there we went to The Ritz Casino. It was still early and not that crowed, so the cocktail waitresses were looking for something to and we obliged. The wife played the slot machines for a couple of hours and I watched a couple of blackjack tables. I dragged her out of there while she was still ahead of the house and we headed back to the condo and turned in.

We really like the Ritz casino but will say it was really cruel to me last trip. They make wonderful expresso martinis. We have plans for dinner one night at Casa Nonna followed by some casino time. I’m also looking forward to returning to the Crystal Casino as last trip it was one of the least smoky casinos.
