That's the beauty of a stuffed pepper. You can stuff it with your own poison...

The most certainly can afford to.
It is the casino that we frequent the most.

Again, thanks for sharing and I am heading to Publix soon for some "peppers".........stuffed peppers are on the menu for tonight.
    Thanks for the idea!

Love your boring routine... eat, swim, drink... sounds awesome. Thanks for continuing to share your trip with us, and I'm not bored at all.

    Sunday Day 13:

Sunday is a big barbeque day on the island and we usually indulge at New Wei Tai, but today we thought we’d go back to one that we haven’t been to in awhile, so it was either Fermin’s or Young Fellow. We had been to Young Fellow a few years ago and the people were nice, so we chose them. Someone on the Forum mentioned going later in the day, as they have a band playing, so we held off and went later, arriving a little after 5. We took the new roadway and we were there in 20 minutes from the condo. The parking lot was full of cars, with locals everywhere. We walked in and quickly realized that the grills were shutdown with no barbeque being served. Evidently, the barbeque ends at 4 and the band starts at 5. If we had eaten prior, we would have stayed, but we were both hungry and decided to leave.

Since we were in the area, we decided to go back to the Fish House. We ate outside, as the sun was headed down and there was a steady breeze. We had grilled chicken and lobster tails. I had one drink and the wife had two glasses of wine. The total was $70.58 plus tip. The food was very good, and we had a pleasant sunset.

From there we headed to the Glitz casino to continue the wife’s winning streak and she did. No where near the level of smoke that we experienced at Alhambra. We stayed for an hour and so and returned to the condo for a nightcap before turning in.

So, pavers in the Lacabana parking lot............wow, an expensive redo.
I am not looking forward to the inconveniences of the parking lot being renovated.

When you go to the beach have you had a hard time finding shade?

terrific, thank you for the parking lot update!

I like the fact that you and your wife are able to leave the casino while in the black!
Most of the time that never happens to me.

The Fish House has made my list thanks to you.

Wow, we missed a few days and loved reading all your new posts. Thanks so much for the pictures too! Sounds like you found the "Aruba beat" and our having a relaxing time. We are coming back in February. We like that you love to drive and check things out. One place we found so beautiful was The Spanish Lagoon and Mango Halto. This February we plan to go back with a picnic lunch and float around. Thanks for all your posts.

    Monday Day 14:

After a couple of mostly cloudy afternoon beach days, we had mostly sunny day at Eagle Beach today and got quite a bit of sun.

We decided to go downtown this afternoon, as the wife wanted to window shop for a bit. She went into a store and I went to look for Taste My Aruba. It’s easy to find, just walk to the entrance of Yemanja and you’ll pass by it. It was a little after 4, so they weren’t open yet. I had hoped to see the menu for today, but it wasn’t posted. They open at 6, so if we're downtown again at a later time, I’ll give it another look.

Tonight, we wanted to try the Seafood Buffet at Aquarius, as we’ve thought about it many times. We had some time to kill, so we went to the Wind Creek Crystal Casino for an hour. We had a couple beverages and the wife played some slots. She walked away even, and we headed to Aquarius. They have an extensive amount of seafood choices. The total was $104.76 plus tip, which was automatically added to the bill at 15%. We both ate so much of it that I think we could easily have swum back to the condo.

We decided against that and drove to Alhambra. The casino had been good to her the previous stop, but tonight was not the case. We stayed about an hour and left. The smoke was not as bad tonight and I’ll also mention that it was even better at Wind Creek Crystal.

Headed back to the condo and she Facetimed with a few of the grandchildren and I turned in.

Thanks for the continues reporting. I am somewhat surprised they added 15% to a buffet dinner. I am a generous tipper but I think adding 15 percent to a buffet is a bit much. That said it sounds like you enjoyed it.

I still think that many restaurants that add the 15% do not consider it a tip. Makes me crazy. (crazier)
This is a topic that rears its head every so often...if we want to discuss the service charge added in OR appropriate tipping for a buffet, feel free to start a thread.
