    Our Last Three Days:

Monday: Another day at the pool...Went to Matthews for happy hour and say goodbye to our favorite bartender there. We really didn't stop there that often this trip, as we tried a number of other places. Decided to eat in again tonight, so headed towards Super Foods. With all the work that has been done at the old Tropicana we thought we's stop into their casino to see if anything had been updated. Sadly no...the wife played a few slots and we were out of there pretty quick. Continued on to Super Foods and grabbed a few things and went back to the condo for dinner. Wanted to mention that it looked like they were in the process of installing street lighting in the middle of their new round about. Much needed but unfortunately to late. Another evening poolside and then called it a night.

Tuesday: Started to do a final cleaning at the condo. We decided to break it down over two days, instead of cramming it into one morning, as I move all of the furniture and give it a good once over. The cleaning staff at The Pearl does a really good job, but they don't move the heavy furniture, nor would I want or expect them too. Also did some laundry that we knew was going into storage. The Pearl provides all of the linen for our tenants as well as daily housekeeping, so we put all of our personal items in storage. It works great for us. Got our last bit of sunshine before heading back to the cold and then changed for dinner. We really enjoyed Ricardo's, so we thought we'd make that our last dinner of the trip. We were seated beach side about 30 minutes before sunset. It was a very pleasant evening and a great way to close out the trip. Went back to the condo for one last sit in the evening air and then called it a day.

Wednesday: Travel day...I think we all hate it, but eventually paradise comes to an end. Did a final load of laundry and filled the rental with gas before returning it. Got everything picked up and stored away and finished o the final cleaning. We had tenants coming in shortly after we leave and the cleaning staff was almost at the door with the fresh linens almost as we locked it down. Went to reception to say our goodbyes and then headed towards the airport. We got to Wheels2go about 15 minutes late, as we got tied up in an accident just past West Deck. There was a flatbed loading a motorcycle and the police were detouring traffic inland. Dropped off the car and they transported us to the airport and we started the ordeal. There was not one single line at any of the checkpoints. We were ate our gate in 15 minutes, and that was taking our time. We grabbed a beverage and waited for our departure. No bump this trip, as the plane was only two thirds full out of Aruba. Everything was smooth and uneventful. We watched a couple of movies and landed a little early on our final flight. It's still a long day, even without any stress, but we made it back safe and sound and can't wait to get back. We both thought that our longest trip to date flew by and it hardly seemed like we were there almost six weeks. And that came out of the wife's mouth first, so perhaps we'll stretch it a little longer next winter, as it certainly sounded like a buy in! I might do a little trip summary when we get settled back in.

Thanks to all of those that followed along. Island life is a great life!
