I went to the artist's page.........which of these ostriches do you like best?
I love them all, but the middle one really calls my name.
Erika Moran's FB page is public, so if you go to her page, look at her photos.
    Her owls are wonderful too.

I kind of like the 3rd one. Also, I remember seeing one where the face of the ostrich filled the whole canvas. Very colorful!!!

Oh, now I’m not sure. I looked at them enlarged and I think I would want the three as a set!

Andrea, you are.so wonderfully helpful! The one in the shop was a hybrid of #2 and #3. I agree, #2 makes me smile the most. She also has turtles that really resonate with me.

While he was in the Glitz I ran in and bought him a keychain and his luck turned around. You really have to be a believer.
Hi Peg, I purchased a Djuku down at the shops by the Paddock. I like to wear it when we fly

Next year I will need to bring my tablet, as posting from my phone is not easy

I would love to see that full moon over the ocean in Aruba - I imagine it was spectacular.

    Saturday 12/14
Egg sandwiches in the room then a taxi to Oranjestad to show our friends the sights and get their souvenir shopping done.
Got an Alex & Ani style bracelet with Aruba coins and some beachy charms for myself and a bamboo shirt for DH. Found a coffee mug with spoon for our dog sitter (brown glaze inside and her favorite color aqua on the outside.)
Took a quick tour of Fort Zoutman and the museum there. Then headed to West Deck for a late lunch. DH and I had keshi yena and governer’s salad; our friends had grouper fingers and conch fritters… all fabulous!
Taxi back to La Cabana, as the light breeze has us all a bit too weary and overheated to hoof it back to the bus terminal.
We change rooms tomorrow for our last full day. Did a little packing and organizing to expedite the process.

    Sunday 12/15
Cleaning out the fridge food and polishing off the rum today.
Changed rooms as adding a day saved us the cost of a room in airfare.
Lounged by the pool and started book #2. The latest in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Series… The Girl Who Lived Twice.
Book #1 was See You by Dawn Lee McKenna. I highly recommend her Florida Forgotten Coast Series for beach reading.
Walked over to Double Down in the Eagle Casino to watch the Packer Game. Had a late lunch of burgers and nachos – all very delicious.
Back to the pool, then out to the beach for our last sunset.
Still full from lunch, so we spent the remainder of the evening packing up and chilling out. Finished book #2.

Got coffee and pastechi from Juan Valdez in the lobby. Checked out at the front desk (turned in our towel cards) … we can stay in the room until noon, just leave the key cards on the counter. Went to the computer lounge to check-in for our flights and print boarding passes.
Cooked up the last of the eggs and gouda in the room for brunch. Sat on the balcony soaking in as much warmth and breeze as time will allow.
Will need to leave our bags with the bellman for an hour, as I asked Hubert to pick us up at 130p.
Already looking forward to next December!

Thanks for coming along on our trip! I am looking forward to getting home to my laptop, so I can catch up on everyone else's posts
