I’ve enjoyed reading about your trip; sorry it’s coming to an end! Safe travels home!
The last 3 days have been a lot of rain on Aruba, and all I can figure out is, Aruba is Crying, because it knows that Paul and Andrea are leaving the Island!!!!! Safe travels.
December 15 Wednesday
Kind of a busy day and again some showers and lots of sun in between the few showers.
We had an early dental appointment………Paul had a cleaning, exam and 2 composite resin fillings to replace his only 2 amalgams. I had a cleaning and exam. We were in and out in 55 minutes!
Then off to get our antigen test for travel tomorrow. Without a doubt the worst pain I have had with 10+ nasal probes. This covid stuff is NOW. BEYOND. OLD!
We hauled our sorry selves back to our room to get bathing suits on and plant ourselves poolside. We did spend a few hours there and then had some lunch at the islander grill.
After lunch we were in the pool for another hour, noticed the black sky coming and decided that we’d call it a day.
In the heavy rain we headed up near Terra Del Sol to see a friend’s new house (closing tomorrow) and we liked what we saw. The rain had stopped after 15 minutes and we kept on up to the lighthouse for a looksee. Lots of tourists and busses. (3 cruises in O’Stad today….NCL, HAL, AIDA.)
We came back to Lacabana for showers and then went downtown for a drink at Lucys and then dinner at Hung Paradise. Lucy’s was the most crowded that we had ever seen it. (that is a good thing). Dinner was delicious at Hung Paradise………same old menu choices for us. Tomato Soup and chicken lo mein and another chicken dish. Leftovers too…way too much food. We will have Chinese for breakfast tomorrow.
Alhambra was moderately ok. Meaning we broke even.
As it turns out, we are up on the 2 weeks and that is always a good thing.
The casinos are still smoke free!!!!! The casinos that we were in……..Alhambra, Crystal, Seaport, Glitz and Hyatt. All crowded, no real good distancing, mask enforcement is happening!
Our antigen tests came back in less than 3 hours.
JB did not allow for printing boarding passes.
attestation submitted to JB.
Will give a recap tomorrow from the airport.

Andrea, thanks for taking us along - your detailed daily reports are always fun to read! Seems like you experienced more rain than usual this trip. Safe travels!
Nice to hear that Lucy’s was busy. I felt like they had a rough start when they first opened but we like it there.
Safe travels tomorrow!!
Andrea..... thanks for setting the standard for trip reports! I've enjoyed every word and hate to see your time come to an end. Be safe tomorrow!
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the best of men!
we have had more rain on this trip than any of our prior trips.
the good thing is we did not have any wash out days.
the rain was pretty heave late nights into the early morning hrs.
then usually a brief shower b4 noon and another shower mid afternoon.
when it does rain, it is usually brief.
mosquitos are plentiful..........very plentiful.
my mosquito bites have mosquito bites.

I can't believe that your trip is almost over. It seems like you just got there. I'm glad Paul recovered enough to enjoy the trip. It seems that you guys have had quite a few Aruba trips where one of you has been sick part of the time. Have a good flight back to sunny Florida tomorrow. Thanks for taking the time to write
