seriously you are right
at least 2x I had ear infections.
1x I had food poisoning
Paul has chronic back issues and 2x put a huge damper on 2 trips.
1x I stepped on glass
1x my grandson had an ear infection

we are the poster children for trip insurance.
although we have made a claim only once for Aruba for hospital reimbursement, once due to a hurricane that left us here in aruba for a few extra days and once for a cruise when a tray of plates and silverware fell onto Paul and a friend. they were both knocked to the floor and Paul injured his hip and elbow and our friend Doug had a broken clavicle and broken ribs.

this was our 54th trip to aruba. trip #55 in June better be healthier.

Hey Andria. Can you tell me what the 24 hour covid test can be to go back to the States. Is it 24 hours from boarding time? And will the US accept antigen, or just PCR. The girls go back home in a few weeks. Safe travels and Happy Holidays!!!

it is not 24 hrs.
it is a day.

so if they go home on a Friday at 3 pm, they can test the day before ..... anytime on Thursday
USA accepts antigen

we have had more rain on this trip than any of our prior trips.
the good thing is we did not have any wash out days.
the rain was pretty heave late nights into the early morning hrs.
then usually a brief shower b4 noon and another shower mid afternoon.
when it does rain, it is usually brief.

mosquitos are plentiful..........very plentiful.
my mosquito bites have mosquito bites.

Wow are the mosquitos Bad because of the rain?
We were there mid Nov. and saw None!

You two are the best! I thought that your weeks went by too fast. Hey, what happened to your neighbor, The Fish Eye!!! I am set to go to Aruba in 6 weeks. I can't wait.

Uggh home

Flights: Were good. JB does a great job with hospitality and kindness from the flight attendants (unlike American Airlines)
We made the drive to FLL from our home 225 miles away and stayed over on the first night. it was park, sleep, fly deal. We picked up our car and debated about staying over another night, but drove home instead. Almost a 4 hr drive on the Fl turnpike and then Rte 60.

Weather: No wash out days, but there were plenty of showers on and off each day or night. I think that I would be safe to say it rained every night and maybe at least 1 passing showers every day.

Mosquitos: Were aplenty, sometimes the mosquito spray did not help. My ankles are kind of a mess with bites.

Casinos: Were crowded and for the most part unkind. But we think that we are even or up a little.

Restaurants: Not a bad meal served! will do some reviews in culinary.

Ocean: It was a gorgeous 80 and I loved every moment I spent in it.

Pools: Ya, I am not a fan of solar pool heating LaCabana's pool was about 78 or 79. Yes, I am spoiled.

Airport: No one asked about the color coding or the time of our flight. We walked in and went right up to the JB line. US Customs was efficient with 3 agents working and that line only 5 minutes.

Covid Protocols: The resorts are doing an ok job with masks for guests. The casinos too are doing an ok job with masks for guests and the restaurants we were in were doing well also. The casinos were crowded and no physical distancing. The Crystal and Seaport Casinos do have plexiglass shields between each machine.

All in all a wonderful trip to Aruba and the plans are set for our return in June.
