    December 3

Another busy day with much to do and no ambition to do much.
I started the day @ 7 by leaving “his nibs” snoring soundly………..bundled up with the comforter doubled on him and an extra blanket on top. 69 degrees in the room is too cold for the Florida boy. I had a blanket I wrapped myself in it because he hogged all of the covers. There has to be a better way……….I believe he needs down filled longjohn pjs.
I made coffee, sneaked out the door and planted my fat self in a strategic location near the pool……….not far from rest room and within spitting distance to the pool. My RTIC mug was full of coffee and I was settled. As Sheldon says “that’s my spot.”

Nanook of the North made his way to the pool at about 9 and we went over to the Islander Grill for breakfast. For $8 a piece, we each had a cheese omelet, juice, coffee, 4 strips bacon or 4 sausage links and toast. $20 for breakfast including tip is a win and the meal was very good.
The rain showers made people run for cover a few times and by the 3rd time, Paul and I decided that it was time to drive over to the botica and to the Noord Bakery for baked goods that are off the scale in weight watcher points. The bakery is about ½ mile past Caribbean Palm Village and my favorite is their marble cake, Paul loves their apple turnovers.

We made it back to the pool b4 noon and there we stayed….. in and out of the water til about 5.
@ 6:30 we got to Zucchini (formerly known as Zuzuroh). Closed. Hmm. WTH. We had a 6:30 confirmed reservation.
So, instead of the Greek salad and the eggplant parm that I had been coveting, we had turkey sandwiches and minestrone soup in our LaCabana unit. (brought from home, frozen)

Alhambra casino was cruel, ‘nuff said.

Phrogg………..i cannot compete with you. I had 2 “chills” and they both were great. But, 2 were aplenty. 45 years ago I could drink beer with the best of them. Today, not so much.

Covid protocols are in place and at least here at LaCabana and at the Alhambra, rules were being followed.

LaCabana is at 85% capacity which is above normal for the week after Thanksgiving...normally slow leading up to Christmas week.

If this was boring for you to read, sorry. We lead a pretty quiet boring life.
Maybe tomorrow I will make up a whole bunch of wild and crazy things to entertain.....full of sex, crime and excitement......or not.

Thought to ponder………. Why in God’s name do the rental cars not have back up cameras?
The audacity!! We actually have to turn our heads and look!!

LOL Andrea don’t go getting yourself knocked up! You’re too young.

Are non-guests allowed at Happy Hour?

Not boring at all. Hanging at the pool for most of the day sounds like heaven! The only bakery we’ve ever gone to is the one that used to be downtown by the Dutch Pancake House. They had amazing mango turnovers. As for WW points, just forget about it; you are on vacation!!

Bavaria is one of our favorite restaurants on Aruba. People always look at me crazy when I suggest we eat at a German restaurant while on the island but the place is great! Jagerschnitzel (my spelling is probably wrong) the pork cutlet in the incredible mushroom sauce is my favorite. The owners there are friendly too!
