Paul and I love that as well as the chicken schnitzel!
We often get dessert to go… the German chocolate cake. [QUOTE=Tuckahoe;384282]Bavaria is one of our favorite restaurants on Aruba. People always look at me crazy when I suggest we eat at a German restaurant while on the island but the place is great! Jagerschnitzel (my spelling is probably wrong) the pork cutlet in the incredible mushroom sauce is my favorite. The owners there are friendly too!

In all the years, I have yet to be bored by your trip reports. Sorry you had such a heavy week leading up to this trip. I hope Aruba is doing its magic and you are decompressing and soothed. We love Bavaria and are going twice this year. Peter is such a gracious host. Sounds like Paul could used some cuddle duds for pjs. Super cute nail polish btw

December 4 Saturday

Today’s was Paul’s turn to go out and snag “that’s my spot” at 7 am……….Gloriously I snoozed til 8:30. I was a good wife and brought him some toast and some sliced apples to the pool for breakfast. There we sat staring at our substandard breakfast as folks with wonderful looking pastries were walking by. I got up, went back into the unit and got him an apple turnover and me another piece of toast

We wandered across the street and jumped into the ocean and there we spent an hour or so.
It felt freezing to start but we adjusted and warmed up quickly. Every beach palapa was taken when we were there. This is our usual time and from the numbers that I am seeing and the different reports I am getting, Aruba seems to be at about 80% of “pre pandemic” numbers. The numbers for November 2021 seemed to be a bit higher than November 2019.

We spent the day at the pool with only that one dip in the ocean.
Lunch poolside was turkey and avocado sandwiches and a couple of chills! Yum.

We thought we’d wander over to the pata pata bar for happy hour, but Paul said he felt like a nap and I jumped at that opportunity. We snoozed from 3:30 til 5 and then showered and hurried off to Bavaria for dinner.

At Bavaria we both had chicken schnitzel with a mushroom gravy and spaetzle. I had a cucumber salad and he had a garden salad. Dinner was wonderful and we made plans to go again on the 13^th. Bri ?
I will post photos of our meals and the restaurant.

We saw AnneF at the Alhambra. She heads back to the land of “Live Free or Die” tomorrow and I am glad that I got to see she and her hubby. Safe travels Anne.

Alhambra was cruel and crowded.
Why do I throw my money away foolishly?
Paul won and I did not.

Tomorrow to Reflexions for a lotta beach and floating time.
Since Anne will be in NH………………..who will I float with?
