I LOVED the group photo of all of you at the Local Store.

I remember way back at the start of the Pandemic (I think it was in April) that someone started a string here on the Forum to invite everyone on a virtual vacation in Aruba. Many forum members posted about all of the virtual activities they were doing on the island that week (while in reality, the borders of the island were closed at that time). I think I recall that one of the virtual group activities was a Forum night at the Local Store. If my memory serves me correctly, some of the forum members that were at that Virtual get together at the the Local store - are there now LIVE and in person this week (based on Andrea's photo). If so - it is absolutely amazing to see that Aruba daydream (from back in the spring) become a reality.

OMG! How this started is even worse than you had originally explained it, Andrea! What horribly selfish and thoughtless people. Please, please don't let this ruin your vacation. You know your house is "Covid free" and as long as you continue to stay away from others in the community, you and Paul should be okay. Can you stop and get Lily on your way home from the airport and perhaps do a grocery store run as well? Know you will be exhausted that day but then you could all cuddle together at least for a few days. Well, at least Lily will cuddle with you. Those darn kitties...you never know with them! I know this must be putting a bit of a damper on your vacation since you're a big worry wart like me!

Chris, that was my silly little idea back in April when we were all on lockdown during the first wave (who would have thought what was yet to come) for some lighthearted fun. Andrea and Walt indulged me and Arubacon was born! For kicks I just found and re-read the thread ("Our Virtual Vacation Together" in My Aruba Story).

Walt, have you and Pam done your SAD exercise yet?

Lisa, we've been on our best behavior so far, so no SAD exercise... yet. Although Pam was a little wobbly after her Aruba Aribas earlier this afternoon

    it is crazy Lisa.
I usually do not need anything to worry about...it just comes naturally.
    this is making me loopy.

our flight does not get in until 7 in Orlando.
    the Publix is nearby.
we'll get Lily on Friday morning.
pick up is between 8 and 10.
the good news s that they are telling us that she is doing wonderful.

yup our house is covid free!!
    thank God.

we were warned that the autumn and winter would bring a worse breakout than the past spring.

our boy kitty is a cuddler ..all 23+ lbs of him. the old lady kitty, not so much. she just follows the sun from window to window.

every day we will watch to see what is happening.

    thanks!

    December 01 Tuesday

A beautiful sunny and partly cloudy and breezy day.

We spent some time in the pool and then went out cruising around.
We made our way to Baby Beach, the dog cemetery, Rogers Beach and Rum Reef.
We visited a friend in San Nic and made our way back to LaCabana for Happy Hr.
Dinner was beef skewers and salad.
The grills here at LaCabana are really very clean and accessible.

Tonight we just stayed in and away from the casinos.

I believe that we WILL make it to Reflexions on Thursday.

Sounds like a lovely and relaxing day, just what you needed. I'm anxious to hear more about reflections. It may need to go in the 2021 trip planner!
