    We arrived at 2pm

The process was painless at arrival except I printed in black and well you know that is a mortal sin.
From the time we left the plane til the time we walked into LaCAbana lobby it was 65 minutes.

Seriously though the process is easy just make sure that you print every single thing and show it to anyone who asks.
In particular green check paper and negative covid paperwork.

Tropic car rental pick up was easy.
They're at about 50% capacity which is difficult but they are surviving.

    Traffic downtown was non existent.

We are settled in and starting to unpack.

Tracey and Jon were seated in front of us on the plane.
Turkey sandwiches and cookies were served as well as drinks!

American is using the middle seat and it looked packed in the coach section.

That’s all for now. Might go Jump
in the pool and then shower.

Dinner is at Hung Paradise outside in the breeze.

    Casino tonight is Paul’s choice.

    Later.

    Day 1
    Nov 26, 2020

We started out with an easy drive to the Orlando airport at 4:30 am.
One of our friends runs a little side business of airport runs and we gladly hired him for drop off!

Our flight from MCO to MIA was packed.
When we got on the plane it was spotless and even smelled clean.
    We were in row 4.
The flight was smooth and quick to MIA and we barely got a few sips of our coffee before it was collected as we were landing. 27 minutes in the air.

Miami airport was busy but not as busy as I have seen it over the years.
The ladies rest room was pretty clean and there were plenty of hand sanitizer stations around….also in Orlando.

We had a lovely young couple in row 3 ahead of us and I behaved and did not kick the seats.

Turkey on a marble rye bread was served for lunch and it was mediocre at best, but hey it was something. I washed it down with a couple of bloody marys.

Going thru the immigration and lice check, umm covid check we were given the A-OK to proceed. (Remember to print everything and if you can print in color please do so. It makes the immigration police that much happier.)

Our luggage coming down the shoot was bag 3 and 5 and we then proceeded to Aruba Customs where the bags were xrayed. Whew!

Our car was ready and waiting from Tropic.

We were at LaCabana within about an hour of landing.

Dinner tonight was old reliable Hung Paradise at the Seaport Marketplace and it poured rain while we dined.
I will post a restaurant review and photos in the culinary category.

Casino action was at Alhambra and boy did it smell good.
We each played with about $100 and left with about $100 each, so I call that a win.

We did stop at Lings for some soda, butter and apples.
We’ll do a real grocery order tomorrow.

All in all we are very pleased with the protocols for keeping people safe.

Tomorrow was supposed to be a dental appointment, but it was cancelled and I have to set something up for next week. I am wondering if they do not USA cooties in their office?

We made contact with Tracey and Jon (on the plane) and with Bri. We hope to catch up with Bri on Sunday night for dinner at the Fish House and then on Monday we may be a group of 7+ at Local Store.

BTW……..Tropic is operating at 50% and Hans says every week it picks up a little bit more.
LaCabana is at 37% capacity, and it is very slow and quiet.

    So that’s it.
I am tired, need a shower and sleep.
Hope that you were not bored silly.

I so hope the casinos stay smoke free. Was Alhambra busy? You really did put in a full day. It will be nice to relax at the beach/pool tomorrow!
