So glad you are having a good time. Your photos are great. Please keep posting them. Glad you have de-stressed. I stress a lot before a trip too. But once I reach our outbound gate, I relax. I hope all of your rain showers are over and sunshine continues. Is Glitz open?

    Yes the Glitz is open.
entry is a bit of an overkill imo.
name, home address, phone #, they take your temp and scan your driver license and the hotel and room number.
I said to the person doing this entry stuff “all this as part of contact tracing and he said Yes Lady!

we just found out our community in Fla is a hot spot. 37 cases in a community of 660 homesQUOTE=bhoffdhoff;368806]So glad you are having a good time. Your photos are great. Oh, no! Will this have any impact on you going home? They'll let you in, won't they? Sounds silly, but I've found anything is possible these days!
Wonder if most of the cases resulted from those selfish golfers.

Sounds like a bunch of careless people. Don't care for themselves or others. Sad.

You have more in your community than all of Aruba so it makes the decision simple...just stay in Aruba.

I think you need to extend your stay in Aruba to stay safe. How many of those homes are empty because of snowbirds?

Nothing but careless and selfish residents..
Maybe they should think about "shutting down" the community for 14 days.
Teach those ruthless people who started this bull crap a lesson too

it is the 2 same "spreaders" that every other person infected can be tracked to.
our community held a dance in the clubhouse on the first Friday in Nov.
it was the first time that any activity had been held in the clubhouse since March 14.
these 2 spreaders had fevers and did not feel well on the morning of the dance.
they went to be tested and chose not to quarantine til the results were given (48 hrs later)

they went to the dance on Friday evening, sat with 8 others and danced with many others.
NO MASKS were worn by them although a mask mandate was in place for any activity in clubhouse.

they golfed on Saturday and Sunday and then were so ill they finally stayed home and told people they were +

lakeland regional hospital has now labeled our community as an active hot spot.

I am indeed TERRIFIED to go home.
It is not in our budget to extend our stay (animal care fees )

Robin.......all of the Canadians are still in Canada , so that may be about 40 +/- households.
some of the snowbirds come back usually from New Years thru May and I am unsure if/when they will be back.
a good many snowbirds are back now.

so today's adventures included driving around for a couple of hours and enjoying the sights.
we ended up on passing on reflexions today.
    maybe tomorrow?

It’s so unfortunate that a few people in your community have impacted so many. Hopefully by the time you get back home people will be scared into awareness and be much more careful! Try not to let it impact your vacation!

Any plans to go to Twist of Flavors this trip? We really enjoyed it last year and I’ve noticed that they have been running various specials. I love their cheesy garlic mushrooms. It’s funny, we had gone when they first opened and didn’t think it was anything special but last year was a totally different experience.

we are thinking about it for Monday night. We are meeting a friend for dinner and am going to suggest it to her.

I am terrified peg. I want to go home when it is time...I don't want to go home when its time.
