This afternoon was lunch and a casino crawl. We started at the Ritz with lunch at the Divi Bar. Sufficiently energized we headed into the casino. The Ritz has never paid off that well and today I would describe it as lukewarm; read that as we broke even. I also never thought to check if it was a bingo day. The players like to sit at the machines so it can be difficult to get on some of the machines. A server did come by and ask if we wanted anything to drink. I asked for an espresso martini and he told me he didn’t think he could do it and I responded that they always did it in the past. Well he says, it’s Because of the Bingo. I just looked at him and he said he would check. Really, I’m playing max bed at $6 a spin and because of Bingo is the excuse. He came back with a beautiful expresso martini, coffee beans and all.

From there we headed to Lacabana and the Glitz. While Tom went into the casino I stopped into the gift shop to see if they had any Djucu keychains as this would certainly change his luck. It did as he promptly hit for $600!! We played awhile and then headed to Alhambra. That’s when we started to give it back. Tom still ended up ahead. I ended up giving back most of what I won the other day. I rationalize I was playing on their money!!

Dinner was at Ike’s. In 3 stays at Manchebo this was our first time having dinner there. Not sure why we haven’t tried it earlier. Dinner was lovely. I’ll do a review in culinary.

Wow Peg, Im.glad you got your martini but I really expect less of a hassle from the Ritz.

Manchebo has really high quality food and beverage options. I love that it's a perfect fit for you and Tom.

    Saturday Day 5

We’re into the routine; a huge breakfast to start and then off to the beach. It was nice to have Andrea and Paul to hang out with today!!!

Late this afternoon Tom wanted to look for a Hawaiian shirt at the mini mart by Alhambra. This meant of course, a quick stop at the casino. Started off with Jackpot Inferno with a good win and then moved on to a new American Bison Jackpot machine I hadn’t played. I hit a bonus for $350 and figured I would do 5 more spins as I liked the machine. On the third spin i got 9 Jackpot symbols and the machine when crazy. I kept getting free games 56 of them and ended up with a hand pay of $1251!!! Once again proud of myself I kept a few hundred to play and put the rest away. Then Tom hit for a few hundred so I said let’s just take the money and go!!! This is just so not like me!!

Tomorrow will be our last full day here at Manchebo and then we head over to the Renaissance. As much as I enjoy theManchebo I always look forward to the change of scenery and plenty of restaurants to walk to.

The plan was to take the Alhambra golf cart shuttle over to the casino and have lunch at We R Cuba. Unfortunately, they no longer have air conditioning and we were looking for a cool spot. So, we ended up at Twist of Flavor. We had been there a few times and it was always okay but never wowed but today was a pleasant surprise. I’ll do a review in culinary.

Now you know it wouldn’t be right to take the Alhambra shuttle and not make a visit to the casino so we were obligated to go in. I always find Alhambra way too smoky but if you visit late afternoon it’s not as bad. They do have the Jackpot Inferno machines that I love and no longer can find in Vegas and I did pretty well on those. Plus I just have to play 88 Fortunes. They have some new machines I hadn’t noticed before like Ted and Zorro machines but I’m saving those for another visit. Don’t want to overdo it and get bored!!! Anyhow after a short profitable visit I left $500 up. Very pleased with myself for being disciplined and taking the money and running.
That is a good win for the day. I have never had any wins in Aruba but still try. Congratulations

    Day 6. Sunday

It’s a beach day!!! Rolling waves this morning so you have to find just the right spot to get in but the water is gorgeous! Meeting up with DiviDiviFan later this afternoon

Trying to figure out where to go for dinner tonight. Yesterday we didn’t bother and just had snacks in the room. Elliotis and Terrezza are both closed on Sundays so .... who knows

Ricardo’s is one of the open options, possibly Casa Nonna or maybe the Peruvian spot. Of course, all that said the choices change by the minute!
