I am soooo saddened that you are leaving. I've lived thru your trip report and felt like I was there. I'm already in the crying room. :>(
With connecting flights the luggage usually arrives at your final destination if the whole leg is done on the same day but I'm not sure what is the protocol when you are staying overnight. I would think you would pick up your luggage and check in the morning.

Thanks for taking us on your journey and safe returns.

I tend to think you will have to pick it up and recheck it on Sunday-we had to do in Charlotte a few years ago, however; check with your airline, which I am guessing is American. I assume you are on the direct flight that gets in between 7 and 8ish pm? Where are you staying in Philly?

We ended our trip pretty much where we started it: in the pool at the Airbnb. What a week!!! We got to Fireson to try their NEIPA and it was as amazing as I hoped it would be! After that, we came back here and just now got out of the pool. I don't wanna leave!!! *sad face*

We are already talking about spending two weeks the next time. Hopefully that will be around this time next year. Having been here in March and now October, we think we prefer late October. Even if it does rain, it's short-lived and kind of refreshing.

We do have the flight to Philly that gets in around 8pm. We are staying at the Philly Airport Doubletree, so hopefully it's nice. I will ask about the luggage tomorrow. We plan to head to the airport around noon/1230. Gonna be a super depressing weekend, but at least this past week was amazeballs!!

Thank you to all that "came along" with us this week!!! I hope my "story" wasn't too boring. I'll keep everyone posted on how the checking back through the Aruba airport goes and how many more Balashis I can squeeze in between now and then. Hahahahaha!

Quick question - Is there bar seating anywhere or is it only tables?

We had to overnight in Miami one time. Our luggage was checked straight through. So we packed a few things in our carry-ons to cover the evening. Make sure you get those awesome chocolate chip cookies at Doubletree.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Trip reports have been few and far between for some time now and it's nice to read about others adventures in Aruba. Safe flights!

Thanks for the great trip reports! Loved all of it!

The Doubletree is nice. It is an older hotel, but it is a Hilton and it is great for an overnight or a few days. We sometimes stay there when we have morning flights. There is a bar/restaurant in the hotel but I don't know what is or is not open. Once on our way there I saw on my phone that they dropped the rate. I asked when we checked in and they gave us the new rate. Have a safe trip.

As of this week, no. No bar seating. Tables only.
