Phrogg's 2nd Aruba Trip

We are currently having a last late breakfast/early lunch at Salt & Pepper before we do the Drive of Depression back to the airport. *sigh* Good news is that my left foot is MUCH better than the other day, so walking is back to normal. Yay! Bad news is that the rash from the RCFH (rope creatures from hell) is screamingly itchy today. Oh well, Aruba has definitely left its mark on me! Ha!


@cpjones - my liver is considerably angry at me for this week, that's for sure! . Lots o' water for the next few days!

It's kind of a cloudy day here so far, so that's making leaving a little easier. Not good for the folks coming in, of course...

I'll post more when I get to the airport and let everyone know how that goes.

It took us exactly one hour from dropping off the rental car to Old Dutch Bar (Designated Crying Area). Not too bad at all really! Everything moved the whole time. The only place we had to wait for just a few minutes was at the US Border because they were changing personnel over. Other than that, we moved right on through!

Also, we will get our bags in Philly and then recheck them in again tomorrow morning when we head back to Dayton... where I understand the high temperature is going to be 48. Fahrenheit. *sigh*

We sat at the gate last year booking the Airbnb for this year and just might do the same thing again. It makes it a little easier to take when you know you have another trip back in the future!

Can't wait to read the next trip report, whoever it is!!! Enjoy Aruba as much as we did!!

Almost forgot!!!!! Three. The answer is three. Three Balashis at the airport. They actually had 12 packs at duty free!! I debated getting one, but that would be a lot to lug around. Maybe next time...

I got three more at the Old Dutch Bar to take home with me. Heeheehee!

Philly is usually slow getting the bags on the baggage belt, so don't be surprised if it take time.

We made into and out of PHL to our hotel in less than 30 minutes! I was shocked! We also got to see a police escorted National Guard contingent go past the hotel as we pulled in. I had forgotten about the riots here. So, going to get a TRUE Philly cheesesteak is most definitely out of the question. I will have to settle for one at the hotel bar. What???? I'm at the bar again???? Craziness!!

Walt - my husband is already chomping at the bit for his cookie, so that will be acquired shortly!

It's definitely brutal!!!




Not sure if that picture will work, but that's my back this morning. It starts on the back upper part of my left arm, goes across my back and then goes down my left ankle and foot. SO ITCHY.... There are also random hives popping up all over, so it means business!!!!
