    Pre-Trip Story

TLDR - Looking forward to my trip and will try to post regularly while I'm there.

Full version - 9 days and counting. I'm really starting to look forward to my trip. I feel like I really need a vacation as opposed to just wanting one. I'll be going 3 weeks this year instead of 2. I do have to bring some work with me to appease my boss, but it's a small price to pay, IMO.

My SIL (well, former SIL but it's a long story) will be there for a bout a week during my stay. I'm looking forward to spending some time with her and we already have two reservations set up. One is Renaissance/Iguana Island, the other is a mural tour. She is actually in Aruba now for work, then she goes to Curacao for a couple weeks for work, then back to Aruba for some R & R.

Those two things, a massage on day 2, and another sea glass excursion are the only 4 pre-planned things I have. The rest will be decided as I go. Two things I REALLY wanted to do this year are off the table and I'm pretty bummed, but will get over it. I was hoping to finally get to Palo Marga this year, but there is a shortage of track compound so they haven't been able to schedule as many racing events. Usually I miss out because of timing. The other is a photo shoot, but hopefully that can happen next year.

As of today, my flight still looks good, bus ticket is purchased, rental car is confirmed and pre-packing is done. I think 10 more of our AF (Aruba Family) will there the first week with me and the rest come in on the 18th. I'll post updates while I'm there, same as usual, pool/beach/food, repeat :P You'll be sick of me in no time.

I'll post some photos here, but the bulk will be in the private FB group I created a few years back. Sorry for those of you not on FB But I am getting better at posting pics here from my tiny-screened phone

This is the link to the group - AF Trip Report Pics - if you want it. Most of my pics will be taken with my camera, not phone, so I have to wait until I get home to post them. But a few will be posted while I'm there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/679119812608308 just ask to join and maybe say you found the link here on the forum....or not.

    Cheers!

Can't wait to hear about your trip. I guess I'll have to settle for pictures here on the forum.

I don't think you'll miss much. I'll be sure to put some photos here. I have editing issues.... I'll put one or 2 sunset pics here, but there will be about 100 on FB. It's that kind of thing. I'll look into Google photos as well. I think I can create and share a public album, but I'm a slow learner.

I wish the photo feature here on our beloved forum could be improved. It’s so frustrating when photos come in upside down and it becomes work to post a photo.

Peg and others....I am only able to post photos on this forum that are "screen shots"
Try a screen shot of your photo and see if it posts rightsize up

So I learned today that I can do the Google album thingy so I can share pics that way after my trip. That way, those who are not on FB but want to see should be able to. Never too old to learn, I guess
